  3. Eko? Great, even the cast is bailing. That doesn't make me feel good about the direction the show is going...I thought they had the main plotlines all figured out in advance to make sure it doesn't just go on and on with no idea of what's next. If they're able to write people out of the show it doesn't seem like they have a long term plan.
  4. Actually, Rhino has both singles and doubles, that's why I was wondering what the difference was. The single discs are called "remasters" and the double discs are called "deluxe editions" but nowhere in the deluxe edition description does it say that they are remastered. Rhino remaster Rhino Deluxe Edition
  5. Except that the deluxe editions are two disc sets, I think. Damn, I'm going to be broke in a few minutes. Any word on the release schedule for the remaining albums?
  6. Albums: Disintegration Wish Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me Head On The Door Boys Don't Cry Pornography Three Imaginary Boys Japanese Whispers The Top Wild Mood Swings Bloodflowers The Cure Faith I can't even begin to rate songs because (especially with the later albums) the entire record is a package deal for me.
  7. OK, so there are "remasters" and "deluxe editions". Are the deluxe editions also remastered?
  8. You're a sick bastard. Let me know, I'll stand in line with you.
  9. Holy moses, that's weird!!!! Go back 3 or 4 pages in the NP thread and you'll see we've been talking about them for 2 days!
  10. Great. Thanks for opening up my purse when my back was turned to let the money fly out. I appreciate it.
  11. I hope you started this thread based on the conversation going on in Now Playing, or else we have a Twilight Zone situation on our hands.
  12. OK, it was a US 12" called Quadpus, and a UK 10" called Half An Octopuss.
  13. Huh. I didn't know they were remasters. I'll have to pick up a few myself then. Are all the albums remastered? And as an aside, when the hell is someone going to remaster Pretty Hate Machine? If ever there was an album that would sound a thousand times better..... Why, because I'm a lunatic for owning the book or because you think I'm going to steal your vinyl?
  14. Sorry, just saw this post. I think it was called Quadpus in the US and Quadrapus in Europe, but I'm pretty positive it had an extensive release. I could actually check when I go home tonight, as I own a book that covers every variation of every album and single released through 2000 I believe. So, I guess that really does make me a Cure freak. I started trying to collect different versions of singles and albums but gave up pretty quickly.
  15. Right. Why would they essentially start a war with the Losties instead of just asking for help? Those two new people are intensely annoying. I feel like they're superimposed over the original scenes because they look so out of place. It's like some Saturday Night Live video short. [original scene] Locke: Can you get these other TV's to go on, Sayid? Sayid: I'm trying.........how about now? Locke: Nothing yet. Sayid (switching wires): And now? Locke: There ya go. [superimpose GQ model on right side of screen coming through a door] [overdub toilet flushing sound effect] SNL Castmember: The
  16. Last night I got around to watching the two Dick Cavett episodes I Tivoed last month: Alfred Hitchcock and Robert Mitchum. Did Hitchcock ever write a book? I'm so intrigued to hear stories of his filming career. It was obvious he only scratched the surface of a myriad of incredible stories about filming techniques and strange incidents with actors during the interview.
  17. I don't know, I didn't get them either. I would only pick a couple up if they were remastered, but I don't even know if they bothered to do much with them except add bonus tracks.
  18. Me neither. One time when Al saw them a few years ago it was like HR was playing a different show than the band. I guess he started out okay for the first song and then he sat down on the floor and started reciting poetry and spouting nonsense until the band gave up and left the stage.
  19. One of my greatest vinyl discoveries was finding Quadpus at a tag sale. Of course, now you can get it on ebay pretty easily. But at the time I had no idea of its existence until that very moment.
  20. Happy birthday, Jeff!! Hope it's a great one!
  21. I'm a sucker for the old British series too. My favorites are Keeping Up Appearances and Bless Me, Father.
  22. But what the f*ck do I know. It just seems like it's saying they've been working on the new studio album for a long time, and I don't think HR even knew he was playing with them until 2 weeks before the gig.
  23. I don't think they're saying HR is on the new studio album. The original Bad Brains lineup for the CB's shows wasn't even announced until two weeks before they happened. I doubt he'd be doing any kind of touring with them either. Here ya go, seannie. When I first saw the picture I thought he had somehow got ahold of an astronaut helmet.
