I do that too. I'll eat multiple Smarties at one time but they all have to be the same color. I don't sort SweeTarts though, as I like to be surprised (or disappointed) one at a time as I unroll the wrapper.

Purple. Always purple. Especially purple SweeTarts. For some reason they were a little bit softer than the others. And purple Nerds kick butt.
