No friggin' kidding. Really, I don't think he ever looked particularly good. I will always have a soft spot for him though. I noticed he cut his hair shorter though, probably so he has the option of looking normal. I agree. It's hard to pick a favorite though. For the doom and gloom era, Disintegration tops the list with Wish being a very close second. From the early years, Boys Don't Cry is my favorite, I think. And Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss me for the transitional years.

No and no. The singer wears more makeup than a female though, if that helps. It's The Cure, "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me".

I'm in CT but the show was in Northampton, Mass. The people on the Decemberists board are split down the middle: either they're super jealous and happy for the people that got to see this once in a lifetime gig or they hate our guts. I think they played everything off the new album though, plus Red Right Ankle, Legionnaire's Lament, A Gymnast High Above The Ground, 16 Military Wives, A Cautionary Song, and We Both Go Down Together.
