  1. It's Rich, he's gotten much better since his solo album.
  2. Slobberbone was a great underappreciated band. 4 stellar albums (EYTWRWWT is probably their best) and (from what I've heard) a killer live show. Never got to see them but sure wish I did. They hung it up a couple years back after their bass player moved away. The remaining members reformed w/ a new bass player and a keys player as The Drams (who are also really good). Brent Best (Slobberbone/The Drams lead singer/songwriter) is one of the best song writers out there today, imho. The way he tells a story or turns a phase is remarkable. He also has produced the last couple Two Cow Garage

  4. Yeah me too. reupped for 2 years a couple months back for a subscription which was susposed to run out w/ the Jan/Feb issue. Never got the March issue, emailed them last week asking what was up & haven't gotten a reply yet. Now I know why. So hows it work when you subscribe to a magazine which then goes under? Do you get your money back or are you SOL?
  5. AT&T Blue Room - featuring Chris & Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes play a couple new songs & talk about the new album. http://attblueroom.com/music/mediaplayer.p...2d7cb3c3c40c45c
  6. This show, along with all of the upcomming "One Night Only" shows, were susposed to be no taping at all because they're planning on releasing it in the future possibly. It's like the Brother's of a Feather tour which still showed up on etree at some point.
  7. Some videos from the show last night (warning: the sound quality on most of these isn't the greatest, Whoa Mule being the best): Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLqs-NKTDl4 Walk Believer Walk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys_aze3Phzo Oh Josephine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aguDdcvDh0E Wounded Bird http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9bz3FUd6uE God
  8. I think the problem with Warpaint is that is says "The Black Crowes" on it. There's almost too much expectation and preconceived notions from fans of the band that it's almost impossible to live up to. Warpaint doesn't sound like the previous Crowes albums, like A-man said it is reminiscent of New Earth Mud, which may be because Chris can't sing like he used to back in the Southern Harmony/Amorica days. After 2 listens. I like this record. But it doesn't sound like the Black Crowes.
  9. I too haven't listened to any of his stuff for a number of years but I might have to dig up some of his stuff & listen to it in his honor tonight. Only Visiting This Planet is a very good album.
  10. Do she have a key or do you just leave the key laying around? Just take away her key or stop leaving the key laying around so if she wants to drive she has to ask you for the key. the key is key.
  11. reminds me more of "The Band" album.
  12. The opening track from Warpaint is being streamed at eh Crowes' offical site. It's pretty good. http://www.blackcrowes.com/
  13. I pre-ordered this from Darla about 2 weeks ago & got it in the mail the other day. Good stuff.
  14. Streaming here: www.myspace.com/dinosaurjr
  15. Yeah I'm a fan. I have two of their albums, "How We Handle OUr Midnights" & "For What I Don't Become" both of which are very good, imho. I'd start w/ "For What I Don't Become" which was produced by CentroMatic's Matt Pence but both albums have a sumilar sound/feel. Check out their myspace if you haven't already. http://www.myspace.com/glossary
  16. No problem. I'm not Jake. you must be thinking of somebody else.
  17. It's still up. Maybe you don't have the right plug-in or somehting. It uses Adobe Flash Player 9. You should be able to see the player thing between in the "website undergoing revision" and the merch, in the draker grey section.
  18. They have III streaming on their site. www.twocowgarage.com
  19. It's really hard to say w/ that place & who knows how many people in the area even know of DBT or BBJ, it's not like they're on the radio or anything. I went to a MMJ show there a couple years back after It Still Moves came out & expected the place to be pretty empty, but it was packed.
  20. If we're talking about the Lancaster show (that's the one I'll be at), what better thing can there be to do in Lancaster on a Wednesday (or any day of the week for that matter) then see the DBT & BBJ? Seriously. Plus the Chameleon is a good small place to see a show.
  21. I'll be seeing that show in a week in a half. Can't wait.
  22. This was all over the Balck Crowes' various message board the other day. It's not true. The email of A. Blazer gave it away to me. See here: http://www.amorica.org/showpost.php?p=6471...mp;postcount=78 Boa is the board moderator & typically knows his shit.
  23. I went to the Crowes show Friday night in Reading, PA not expecitng much. Boy was I surprised how good it was. 3 hours, 2 Sets, w/ 2 new guys who have been in the band for what? a couple days? Yeah Stacey didn't know all the songs & Rich was trying to show him how to play them as they were playing them but when it can time to solo he ripped it up. Give them time & they might be just as good as they were before w/ Ford, even now their better then most bands out there. When etree gets back up download the show & give a honest listen, it might surprise you. Don't sell your ticke
  24. This is very true. The Black Crowes without Chris, Rich, Steve, Marc & Eddie isn't really the Black Crowes. IT's just a band pretending to be the Black Crowes.
