An interesting case. A woman of obvious talents, which she used for the worst cause ever. Some contrition on her part would have helped her some. Wagner, too, is complicated - one of the leading anti-Semites of his time, the only reason he wasn't a Nazi is that the Nazis hadn't been invented yet. So, it's hard. One is tempted to let the talented of the hook for these things, but can one really overlook such darkness? -

Thomas Mann is maybe the best German writer. And then there's Rammstein. -

Let's go Ran-gers!! -
How the hell should I know? I am just a journalist. I got a decent grade on my Earth Science Regents in fucking 1982. The only thing any of us who do not hold degrees in climatology can point to is how many people with degrees in climatology think the climate is changing, and trust them. Believe me, my friends, it is a lot more likely that we don't have any more than the standard 50-50 chance of being right than there's a whole cabal of scientists trying to make it so people turn out the lights and not buy SUVs.

What's the price of gas where you are?

We are at about $3.40 or so here in Poughkeepsie-istan. -
Have a good one, man!
-
And I would further like to say it is time for Delgado to follow Piazza into DH-istan. Carlos needs to put up Aaronian stats to justify his cadaverish defense at first.
-
I still think Willie should be fired.
-
Ask Grady Little.

Each team's situation is unique and calls for different managerial styles. It is my considered opinion as a Meh-ts fan that they need someone at the top who will kick their ass some, and since more than half the team is Latino, to be able to do it in Spanish is a plus.
-
Sure it does. The AL Central will be as tight as the NL East. In divisions like that, one game can make a huge difference.
-
How are the White Sox doing so far this season?
-
Oh, and Delgado sucks. He and Schoeneweis should be cut.
-
Not THE reason, but A reason, I submit. If a team of all-stars lacks enthusiasm, intensity and killer instinct, I think it is fair to lay that at the manager's feet. Willie might be a good skipper for a group with too much intensity, but obviously these dudes need someone who can piss them off a little bit, like a Spanish-speaking Patton. (Ozzie Guillen!)
-
Well, something happened in September, didn't it? I'm sure Napoleon was the 1815 pick for General of the Year until Waterloo.
-
Willie should have been fired last year. Larry Bowa is my suggestion. Someone who will put a little intensity into these dudes. I saw zip of that in the two losses to Atlanta, and even though I did not watch today's game, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that intensity was lacking as well. As tough as the NL East is going to be this year, the Meh-ts could well lose it in April.
-
Despite assurances otherwise, the Mets are kinda looking like the Meh-ts from last year. I'll be the first to say it - fire Willie Randolph!

I thought it was in honor of the Red Sox being declared the Official Team of the New World Order.
