  1. I was going to join the Green Party on Sept. 11, 2002, but I didn't.
  2. Thank you. I later recycled the incident for a record review I did of a Motorhead disc once. I proposed that instead of those records with a map to where Earth is and stuff, the Voyager probe should have contained a record of Lemmy saying, "This is my fookin' planet! Get on my fookin' planet and I'll kick you in the fookin' teeth!"
  3. I just picked up Foxtrot for $7.99 at the Stop & Shop. I wish Gabriel was taking part, so I could indulge my long-held fantasy of getting front-row seats and yelling "Hogweeeeed! Hogweeeeed! Hogweeeeed!" until they played it or I get thrown out.
  4. I liked Latrell and his "take no shit" attitude. That attitude is the essence of being a New Yorker.
  5. I just came home from getting bombed with my parents, cousins and Uncle Bucky. I berated them all loudly on how people from South Asia are caucasians.
  6. OK, I'll bite. Please detail how Willie could have been a better manager so the Mets could have gone like 128-34 or something like that.
  7. Things are harder for the Mets than they are for other teams.
  8. Our trip to NYC has been cancelled and replaced with a trip to Woodstock.
  9. That's Rasputin, and he was VERY CREEPY in real life.
  10. I thought about divorcing the Knicks too, in favor of rooting for the Pistons, but now, I don't know.
  11. A friend of mine hopes to be someone's ex-wife one day, as she enjoys being a figure of terror.
  12. I liked Greg Anthony, who has done far more for the Knicks than Isiah Thomas has to this point. To demonstrate how far that franchise has fallen, they've been running infomercials on TV to get people to buy season tickets. Willis Reed and Walt "Clyde" Frazier didn't need an infomercial. Patrick Ewing and Charles Oakley didn't need an infomercial. Latrell Sprewell didn't need an infomercial.
  13. Contempt is like an everflowing sweet spring of hatred bubbling up from teh dark recesses of my soul.
  14. I'm all for giving Heilman a shot in the rotation - he did ONE-HIT the Marlins once, after all - but I don't think the team's future hinges upon it. A good setup man is valuable too. Hopefully Aaron won't go all Donnie Moore after last night's gaffe. I think Glavine will stay with the Mets. I like Trachsel, but que sera sera. So, I'm thinking a rotation of Glavine, Zito or Schmidt, Oliver Perez, John Maine and Gyroball man, with Pelfrey worked in at some point. I'm not sure Pedro Martinez will ever pitch again.
  15. I took Existentialism and Phenomenology pass/fail. Bad decision - the professor told me she would have given me an A.
  16. Tequila makes me want to break shit, not that that's a bad thing necessarily.
  17. I have rediscovered the joys of hard liquor.
  18. This may not be true, but I heard the Icelandik government has installed giant speakers across the island so Sigur Ros could be blasted all over the country at all times.
  19. Congratulations to the Cardinals. Good pitching does indeed beat good hitting, but I am heartened by the performances turned in by Oliver Perez and John Maine. I hope they anchor the rotation next year. Well, I am now officially climbing on the Tigers bandwagon. Detroit in four!
