Yep, and they are wonderful. The pictured record comes out sometime in October (I think) and I'm pretty sure it is hands down their best (which makes no sense, but I've only had it a week so time is the only remaining factor). But all are pretty good/great in a sort of gypsy brass band kind of way.

I would like to hear/see this Banksy version/album art. -
All day. I'm going to become the AHAAH version of AWATT. So let's see.....AAHAAHATT?

I'm kind of surprised the guy that looks like Flanders didn't already do this.

Stellar record. Might be their bestest yet, though their sound certainly isn't for everybody.

He's become so stagnant, it seems. His guitar on those early Rage albums (and even Battle of..) was sick shit. I was also 12.

I had no idea Audioslave was still making music. I feel sorry for the world. And for Tom Morello, wasting his talent in such a way.

Note the red spine, which Aeroplane doesn't have. Still pretty funny. -
I am going to lock/close this thread as reservations were made in another city altogether while I away for the weekend. Sorry for wasting yo' time, people.

Banksy is pretty cool. I have always semi-admired his work. I'm pretty sure I have a picture of him on my myspace photos page. Well, him in a mask spraying a wall. But that Beefheart album cover is a photoshop job (a pretty good one, too). There's another one floating around of her holding up NMH's In the Aeroplane... -
It never seems like David Bowie gets enough love around here. Maybe after he sues Wilco for stealing the intro to "Oh! You Pretty Things" and tacking it on to "Walken."

I need to know of a good hotel downtownish. Any decent neighborhood is fine (safe for a group of travelling girls/women/JeffWalrus/whoever else goes to bachelorette parties). I lived there for a bit, but I certainly didn't stay in any hotels so I'm clueless (unless you count hour session with Derek Phillips). The Lincoln Inn or somesuch in Lincoln Park seems cheap. Any reason to avoid it? Money is an issue, but this isn't for me so I have no idea what kind of budget we're looking at. I might have wanted to know that before I posted, eh? You all just tell me cheap and good and something will wo

Check out their first full-length if you haven't already. Wonderful stuff.

I think Lifted.... or Letting off the Happiness have better artwork.

I love that book. As for me, school already started so I'm not reading anything fun. It all could be worse considering I'm a literature major (math textbooks, etc.), but there isn't much of interest to me this semester.

I'm all sick n' shit so I just had some Emergen-C. Next up, lots of coffee to counteract my benadryl and nyquil (I ran out of the day variety).

I think they'll be safe as long as they rotate it with Planet X every couple of weeks.

It's going to be an interesting year, but I'm pretty sure they'll be better than a lot of people expect. The Iron Bowl should be a lot of fun this year.

That Neil Young cover alone would have been more than worth the price of admission. I loves that song.

Actually, it might be as low as 199. Nintendo said it definitely won't be over 250, which is incredible. Games, at least first party games, are also going to be no higher than 50 which is awesome considering the others are now charging 60-70 per game. Shit just isn't good enough anymore to warrant that kind of price tag. Needless to say, I'm super excited about this thing. Finally somebody is doing something different with the video game formula. Hopefully it succeeds and shakes things up like the DS has.

I'm just excited about the terrible dialogue and the rampant Nintendo product placements. This movie was a very large part of my youth.
