I guess your right, there is no precedent for Americans giving a shit. ETA: When I said other legal situations I was referring to crimes committed by citizens. Also here is a much better angle: BUYING BRAND OBAMA By Chris Hedges

So if someone murders your mother today and evidence doesn't come out until eight years later, you wanna let the guy pass? This whole "moving on" thing is the most ridiculous logic I've ever herd. We would never do it any other legal situation.

Yeah i love the way he is escalating the war in Afghanistan and is continuing to bomb Pakistan. Oh and I just love the way single payer is not an option for restructuring are health care system. And wasn't it cute the way he is not doing anything about the torture memos or prosecuting Bush officials. Oh and the bailouts were wonderful, I love throwing money at companies that have acted irresponsible. THE HONEYMOON IS OVER WAKE THE F**K UP.

LAMMY HOW GOOD WAS THE SHOW? That setlist is almost exactly what I was hoping for In Chicago. As for buying albums, American Beauty, Working Man's Dead,Live Dead, Anthem of The Sun, Aoxoxoma(or however its spelled) In my opinion you want to stick with the live stuff, grab dicks picks 12.

Meh, beatle or no beatle its just not that interesting, I like Ram and Band On The Run but not much else. I guess for a lot of people they will judge it by his old output, but to me thats silly. I know how much I've changed in my short life, he is not the guy who wrote those songs anymore(the beatles tunes that is). To expect that would be laughable. As I was saying to a friend, I would listen to Love and Theft, Time Out of Mind and even together through life regardless of who released them. Modern Times on the other hand I found to be awful, not because this guy released blonde on

I mean it was a semi rhetorical question. I think dylans later output will be remembered when people talk about his career, can't say the same for Driving Rain.
-
I mean I do, I won't deny that. But when was the last time mccartney made a great record?
-
Wasn't the traveling wilburys good enough. I'm willing to bet you that anything that they won't produce anything half as good as "THE WILBURY TWIST" Have you herd the recording george and bob did in the early seventies, some good stuff.
-
But would it? Or would it be a steaming pile of shit that critics would call ground breaking.

You guys are in for a treat. That set last night sounds awesome, what did they play?

Dude who has my miracle? -
Funny, I find these lyrics to be way better then Modern Times. Like I said before I think Hunter served as an editor if anything. These sound distinctly like late era dylan and nothing like dead songs (although I could hear Bob Weir doing Jolene).

As do I, great great great first set. Second Set started off great with Truckin', the rest of the set was mediocore, not bad but weird second set tunes (oh the unbroken chain was awesome). Not enough space for this cats liking. I'll tell more when i got the time.

i wasnt there but it was probably bobby's version since it was acoustic. I cant belive day of the show im waking up with the worst kneck cramp so i take it puffing was no problem.

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't planning on doing anything stupid in the lot anyway. Thats real beat though about the cops on the inside. Hope its not like that tomorrow.
-
Okay, someone clue me in, ive never been to the rosemont. What am I gonna have to worry about? Calvino I hope you come back on before tomorrow night i loved to hear how things were inside and out.
-
I don't know if Hunter the one to blame. To these ears the lyrics sound distinctly late period dylan. I'm really curious as to what the involvement of Hunter was, but something tells me we wont be hearing from bob (hunter that is).
-
The production on Nashville Skyline, is among my favorites on any record, something about that warm sound. Personally I prefer Bob's singing on I threw it all away to the phrasing which get dylan through life is hard. The dynamics and arrangement of I threw It All Away are also much more interesting to these ears. Life is Hard is defiantly not a bad track, I'd just have a hard time comparing anything on TTL or MT to his earlier work (let alone TOOM and L&T).
