  1. I am concerned about the hundreds of thousand of people employeed by the big 3. Not sure in what capacity we should help but it seems unfair to bail out Fannie, Freddie, AIG and not the car industry. Either all or nothing right?
  2. Weird story....How can they do this? http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/11/11/baptizing...s.ap/index.html
  3. Daisies of the Galaxy!! I also really think Shootnany is accessable too. I just wouldn't start with Electro Shock Blues.....very depressing album. You really can't go wrong with any of their albums but those two are the most accessable. Do yourself a favor though and catch the Eels on tour if you can. Their shows are highly unpredictable and E is a hoot! If you are looking for a top 10 songs to start on here is what I recommend 1. Mr. E's Beautiful Blues 2. Somebody Loves You 3. Flower 4. Mental 5. Saturday Morning 6. PS You Rock My World 7. Fresh Feeling 8. Railroad Man 9. It's a Motherfu
  4. Only 2 people in front of me at 345PM in Hoboken, NJ! Voting feels good!
  5. From the picture of MCCain voting doesn't it look like he is putting his vote in the blue color coded box? It looks as if he is voting for Obama?!
  6. I think we are not going to know tonight. I think by tomorrow morning it will be confirmed for Obama. I think with all the long lines some states will extend voting hours and thus tallying will go on way past midnight. Oregon will be a stragler just like last election.
  7. One thing I vowed to do was not to go cheap on bedding. A good bed is worth its weight in gold. So taking my own advice I went to Bloomingdales and spent $1800 on a qualty queen size mattress. Best $1800 I ever spent (The name of the mattress though slips me now). Also Bloomingdales had a program that you can test out the beds for 30 days or so. If you don't like it you can get another bed (Some cathes though forget what) Some additional food for thought. The salesman told me the Rolls Royce of beds is the Shifman? The Queen Shiftman was $15,000! I layed down on it for one minute and boy o b
  8. This should have been on the Devils and Dust album!
  9. Great suggestion! Did this too. Suprisingly there are no sites on the list within about 10 miles or so of the house! Suprisingly for NJ that is...
  10. We are planning on doing the sewer inspection. Can't wait to watch that s*it on dvd.
  11. Out of Attorney Review on the second house in Scotch Plains we wre interested in....Home inspection this weekend I hope. Wish me luck!
  12. Strangley the Cure's Friday I'm in love. It is soo goofy and silly and coming from a band like the Cure it just makes me chuckle.
  13. No specifics dates yet. Just says 2009 in the article.
  14. Why isn't this guy wearing gloves when he is handling this? Anyhoo cool stuff. I visited Israel abotu 15 years ago and the history and sites are overwhelming. I did get to see the Dead Sea Scrolls which was awesome. Visiting the old quarter in Jerusalem is something I believe everyone should do at least once.
  15. All original members including Michael...Janet is supposedly in the opening slot for the shows a real family affair.
  16. http://www.nme.com/news/the-jackson-five/40749 I would go out of curiosity assuming tickets are very reasonable. Jackson 5 had some great songs but I can't imaging them pulling off a good show....
  17. I got to represent the Nittany Lions...they sucked though the years I attended school there...
  18. Awesome! I saw him at the Sessions at West 54th Show last show of the Odelay tour. I was maybe 5th row but there was only 5 rows...He was on fire that tour!!! He play anything wacky at that show. At the sessions show he played Asshole , Rowboat and Ramshackle which weren't aired....they all sounded awesome!
  19. I had the last possible seat for Bruce At Giants Stadium. Section 332? Row 32...you haven't expierenced concerts until you have the worst seat in the house. It actually provides an interesting vantage point. I recommend it once just for a change in perspective. It does make you appreciate good seats though when you get them.
  20. New Carpeting... and BBQ! Yummy..not the carpeting.
  21. Thanks to Gravity. Andy Happel is a violin viruoso and plays a mean rock violin! Get Ode to Joy or Start..might be $1 on ebay or half.
  22. Hey I once in awhile get lucky with tickets. List any shows you have seen with the first 10 rows for a seated show... I have seen Beck/Flaming Lips at the Beacon 1st row. Ears were bleeding! Aimee Mann 1st Row Shea Auditorium Wayne, NJ Medeski Martin and Wood 1st Row Shea Auditorium Wayne, NJ Sigur Ros 1st Row Beacon Trey Anastasio 1st Row PNC Holmdel, NJ U2 2nd row side stage right next to the Edge! First Union Center Philly Eels at Town Hall 4th Row Travis 4th Row Beacon Kiss 4th row Bryce Jordan State College, PA REM 6th row 2 times Jones Beach, Mohegan Sun Arena
