His production per minute was really bad last year. Low even for a backup. That's one reason to disagree wtih it.

Negative. Looks like Matthews got his 500th homerun in a Houston uniform and I don't think Hank had reached 500 before he left. Question wasn't very clear -- I meant both guys who had already surpassed 500 homeruns batting in the same lineup.

Folks on the White Sox board are wondering if two players with 500+ HRs (Thome and Griffey) have ever hit in the same lineup. Figured it had been done with one over 500, and the other over 500 after the other had retired, but not at the same time.

Nick Masset, Danny Richar, and the bill. Not much!

It is surprising, only because he probably can't play a decent CF any more. I hear he may be playing some 1B, or Dye might be.

One report says the White Sox are giving up Nick Masset and Danny Richar. Nick Masset is not good, though he may someday be an innings eater. Danny Richar, I think, might end up being a nice player, but the White Sox are fairly deep at 2b in the minors. And Alexei Ramirez is having a very good season. He's only 26 and tied up for three more years. Reds are picking up Griff's contract. Decision by 11 CDT, supposedly.

I also heard the trade may involve a Cinci reliever, Weathers or Affeldt. I don't think he can play center any more, so I'm not sure where he's going to play.

I just emailed Ozzie and told him to move Konerko down in the order. Has anyone been following Konerko this year? Crazy.

Seems doubtul that 1.3 years or whatever of Kyle Farnsworth would be better than 2 draft picks, but who knows.

Also, Twins are even in the loss column with the Bosox, White Sox are one ahead in the loss column. Nothing has been decided as far as the Central/East/WC.

Children should not have names until they are properly taught the breadth and variety of possible names and social stigmas. Once they have been disabused of their notions of family history of ethnic identities then, and only then, should they be able to finally have a name -- the one they choose after having been fully informed of the consequences of their actions.
