seems to have some Be Good Tanya's/Jolie Holland out-take from the Blue Train, and, it's free: http://www.peppermillrecords.com/pm007

on a good stereo it's pretty easy to do. On a MP3 dock thing, not so much. I listen to the highs - cymbals and their sustain, that kind of thing and you can get it right 9 times from 10.
-
it's getting so that I'm just following whatever Martin Rivas suggests I listen to.

battle lines being drawn

loving this.
-
ditto. And I absolutely loved Motor Motel Love Songs. Each album is getting more and more filler.

That's a great choice. Got me thinking that later on you could play 'Unforgiven' or 'Only water' to reflect the harsh realities of married life.

had the pleasure of seeing him last week. He's surprisingly shy for a garage rock guy.

Stardust mixed into X's 12 inch version of Wild Thing. Matt - do we get to check the wedding playlist?

Basia Bulat Daytrotter sessions (although the above drawing, which are usually pretty good, leaves a lot to be desired)

wow. 'He lay me in his garden'

13ghosts - Cicada
-
Marina Gallardo - working to speak.

Deadly Snakes - Ode of Joy. Ethier ruled last night. Was playing the Cons - Shine A Light while stuck driving in a snowstorm earlier this week. It kept me from being hypnotized by the huge snowflakes.
-
alright, Springsteen Monday, Josh Ritter Tuesday, and now Andre Ethier in some small bar. It's a mid week trifeca.

What a shame. I remember seeing him with Knoffler and Stevie Ray Vaughn at Albert's hall (name?) above the Brunswick house. He must have been like 16 and was pretty amazing. Last saw him with Stuart McLean on a Vinyl Cafe Christmas show, although I didn't like it when he dropped the guitar and started playing trumpet. Rest in Peace.

Teenage Fanclub - Collected B-sides and rarities. 'I'll probably feel a whole lot better when you're gone'
-
Jimmy - Glad you had a great time! I expect that she'll nicely punch me in the arm or something at the next local gig.
-
first time really listening to this thing. It's very good and the fist Corb Lund I've actually bought. Have to get more. Cortez - collectively, we all seem to be on a Kinks kick, which is really cool. I thinking this is because of 'Juno'

Who are your favorite bands from your home state?
lizish replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
The Guthries Ruth Miniiken Jill Barber (she's living there I think) Matt Mays (is he still living there?) Julie Dorion (she seems to keep moving back and forth between there and TO) The rest of Eric's Trip (?) don't know wintersleep tho. Good? -
whoa, just noticed that he's playing tonight with the constantines guy - baby eagle. fun. I think might just go.
