Folk Dylan > Rock Dylan -
Rich - I get an 'all keyed up' Avett/Blitzen Trapper/Felice/Josh Ritter with band feel. Just got it today, so that's just the first (good) impression. oh wait, you were asking about Langhorne Slim, right?

link below doesn't seem to work anymore, but I've read a couple interviews that are like this: I just find it odd. When listening to them, I hear Marshall Tucker, Allman Bros, Derek + Dominoes, Sknyrd, Bottle Rockets, Jim Stafford, and twin guitars dueling like drunken confederate soldiers. I also hear songs about guns, little ones, righteous paths, and lawnmowers. It's all mixed with a pinch of boogie and a whole lot of heavy fuzzbox pushed past the point of parody. Me thinks Hood is whining about being rightly pigeonholed. -

The more the Drive By Truckers whine that they are 'not a Southern Band', the more evident this becomes. -

No. Talking in generalities is probably the dumbest way to ever try to convey a point. Dissing a genre or what is going on a musically in a country of millions is the quickest way to ever lose an arguement. -
example of a good current day Brit artist.

probably more a reflection of the person who says such a thing rather than the British. Most 90-95 Seattle type music is unlistenable. Grant Hart looks like a grandmother new to Lesbianism. Yet he still outclasses Bob Mould by a factor of ten in all respects. Most of the participants in this forum will never get rap music. If they admit this, they should just really stop trying, but more importantly stop talking about it. The Greatful Dead did more for concert acoustics than they ever did for actual music. -
He was so impressive in concert. Think I will become a big fan. Yup, that's what I'll do.

Just remembering that they did 'I will not sing a hateful song' and 'Do what you do' in concert last fall. They were absolutely amazing and I totally blanked that I'd heard those songs before. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is: THOSE SONGS ROCKED IN CONCERT. PEOPLE WERE STAGE DIVING. BAND MEMBERS WERE JUMPING OFF KEYBOARDS, LIGHTS AND EACH OTHER. so have a great time!

sooo nice to watch the Blue Jays these days. Just hope they can keep things and I keep watching past the end of May. BJ Ryan is back too

so pumped to see them! and thanks Jimmy. I also totally agree on the new constantines. It might just be better than Shine A Light.
