What a great time! It felt like some drunken college party with the band spraying the audience with beer and crowd surfing. There was even a drum-set band member pile on. With all the hype, the audience is starting to turn from us old geezers who remember Lifter Puller into young indie chicks and their trendy boyfriends; the kind of new fans who push up to the stage, and then act all pissed off if they get bumped. One of the aspects that I'd not picked up from the CDs was the band's Catholcism. Finn crossed himself a couple times and there were reference to Priests and confessions that don

London - Friday Nov 3rd. It was certainly good seeing him. We were about 12 rows back in the centre so the seats could not be much better. It was a bob at the keyboard show. I last saw him something like 20 years ago and to be honest, I don't think I'll go again. I know it is like seeing Shakespeare in the flesh, but lord, the mumbling. I also prepped for the show playing the electric bootleg series disks and unfortunately it sort of brought home how different things are. I know Bob is supposed to be front and centre, but all the other musicians were muffled by his presence. There were

woot! Been putting off buying Dylan tickets and low and behold someone on my floor puts out their back. Said person has row B centre stage tickets and offers to eat the service charge. 'I started out on burgundy But soon hit the harder stuff Everybody said they'd stand behind me When the game got rough But the joke was on me There was nobody even there to call my bluff I'm going back to New York City I do believe I've had enough' Double Woot!!!

I haven't even thought about getting the re-issues of those Cure CDs and particularly that one. Are they worth it? (truthfully, I'm usually not one for buying re-issues even if I don't have the vinyl or cd anymore) NP: really surprised I no longer hate this.

Must admit that GL is pretty cool:

Bullet / Shield, Charlton / DC, whatever. DC owns 'em, they are DC characters. You should go back to being Pervert, pervert.

well, since you mention it, I see Jay B has not been skipping the Flying J desert table: I used to think the white boy dreads and the glasses were kinda cute.

I met him at the airport in about 85 or 86. Full black get up, teased hair and white makeup. Why-o-why he would travel like that is beyond me - but the sad part, he was pretty pudgy. I'd imagined this skinny little boy and Smith as an overweight rock star just didn't cut it. My fav is Head on the Door. 'It was the size of this really satisfying dump'

Nitpick part deux: Weren't all the Charlton Characters integrated into the DC universe - The Question, Blue Beetle, Dr Atom etc ? Watchmen was really about all of them, so, by a Comic Book Guy leap of logic, The Question/Rorshack is a DC character. Besides, last time I looked that DC shield was on the Watchmen covers.

Kev, watchmen was a comic, no more no less. I remember the time periods between the issues kept getting longer and longer in 1988/89. It was really frustrating. Um - also is the name of the spidey villan really Spawn? Not that I'd really know, but isn't there a spidey-suit type villan and then the Todd Mcfarlane character 'Spawn' and they don't have anything to do with each other? also, this is from the wall of a family friend's house: Note V for Vendetta/Watchmen/From Hell/Concrete/Miracleman/planetary original art on wall.
