  1. looks like they will be playing Missoula, MT on June 28th.
  2. the Mother Hips opened a string of shows in the south, late '95. Opened again in December 2001 in Denver.
  3. don't worry...i know a few people that will be there.....
  4. if people don't check this album out they're seriously missing out. Here's a vid of the 1st song on the album "White Falcon Fuzz"...check it!!
  5. yeah..how do i do this presale thingy?? I checked out Frontgate but didn't have anything listed. Tix on sale in less than 2 days...what's the dealio???
  6. this has nothing to do with anything other than i just noticed that i joined this board on July 1, 2003 - exactly 6 years ago today...huh...kinda kewl. haven't really added anything of substance to it but been lurkin none the less....
  7. my friends texted some pix from the front row....said the stage was basically 18" high and they were standing on a lawn...definitely the backyard feel. God i'm jealous i didn't make the roadtrip.
  8. Small is better by far. Outside/Ampitheater - sound is never that great but it's outside and it's summer...still good. Theatre settings are best. Saw some great shows at the Fillmore type size but the BEST was in a KC bar with about 50 people. EXCELLENT.
  9. Wish I could have gotten to the aftershow at the Mangy Moose but we had our kids with us (their first show!) What did the aftershow consist of at the Mangy?? God I wish we would have been able to drive down.....BUMMER!
  10. Sweet Jeeeeezus....i am THERE!!! First i get a show in Bozeman, now just down the road a couple 3 hrs in JHole. Let alone w/ The Crowes, SV, and Avett Bros.....should be a dandy. Damn good summer to come.....
  11. at the show in Bozeman on Sunday night, Jeff made a couple comments about playing songs that were requested online. I think they've been playing 3-4 requests a night. If you look at the last few setlists, there are some rare one's being played for sure. My wife requested "When the Roses Bloom Again" for Bozeman show but they played it in Missoula.
  12. I'm pretty sure there was a taper hooked to the soundboard but not 100%.
  13. they also seem to be playing alot of the requests they get from online. This seems to be adding to the diversity of the setlist. Awesome show last night. It was fun seeing them in my home town instead of travelling to see them. Sunken Treasure was a damn nice treat. The entire room was silent and fixated on Jeff and the lyrics. Great way to start the night. Also loved Missunderstood and Shot in the Arm....2 songs I was hoping to get last night. Wish I could get to Missoula but no dice. Hoping to get to Bend this summer...
  14. he might have played several shows before this but Bumbershoot in Seattle was one of his 1st.
  15. check craigslist...there have been some people selling on there...unfortunately they want $100 a ticket but they are out there. bet you might find some day of show too....
  16. i could probably find this answer on the musictoday site but i'm lazy and will ask here. Do they mail the tix out right away or is there a delay in sending them?? I bought tix to the Bozeman show over 2 wks ago on the presale and haven't received them yet. What's the deal w/ that?? Thanks
  17. yep......i was told it was sold out by 1130am. Good stuff.....can't wait.
  18. bummer....good luck. Let me know if you end up making the trip.
  19. yeah..i do actually. This is a big time show for this town and there's alot of Wilco fans in the area. I think the Emerson holds around 850 so they will go quickly.
  20. the tix available today for the Bozeman show sold out in less than 1/2 hr. Glad i got mine....
  21. i think it holds around 800 including the balcony. that's alot smaller than i actually thought. I've seen some damn good shows at the Emerson - Jackie Greene, Lucinda Williams....they weren't sold out though. Should be amazing w/ a packed room.
  22. wilco didn't exist(UT days) when i was in college...i'd bet the crowds will be mostly 30-40 yr olds here. Ski bums, hippies, and the working folk....
  23. Both Bozeman and Missoula are college towns. If I was to guess, i bet the local rock station, and the indie station each play Wilco several times a day - there will be NO issue selling these shows out. I had 4 calls on my phone this morning about them coming.....this town is stoked to have them play - i definitely am. I've seen'm all over the west coast but these upcoming shows in MT will be extra sweet for us that live here. The venue in Bozeman barely holds 1500 people..maybe not that. I'm incredibly happy they are willing to still play some smaller venues out here.
  24. there are a few.... but not too many and we like it that way.
