I don't think the 930 has listed a show by any decent band on their website prior to the pre-sales or on sales in a long, long time. A lot of shows there don't even show up on their schedule until they are already sold out.
-
I would be too, but Mogis wasn't involved in these shows.
-
Agreed. Seems to me that he may have served as the editor for the band. I know that a lot of people don't like Out Of Time, Monster, or any of the post IRS releases but I think they were pretty consistent until Bill left the band after New Adventures.

I was wondering the same thing. I wonder if Mogis will still be producing.
-
Wow. There's a lot of stuff over there.

An upload would be great! Thanks.

Thanks! I was actually hoping to find something with all the tracklists for the ep's and 7 inches. I have The Thrilling Of Claire Driver, Surprise Me Keep It Upstairs Lit Up (Remix) You've Done It Again Virginia Lit Up (Parisian Party Version) Secret Meeting (Remix) The Geese Of Beverly Road (Live) Mansion On The Hill Santa Clara Blank Slate Is that everything? I feel like I'm missing some things.

Is there a flac of this anywhere? I don't have an account on dime or trader's den.

Anyone know where I can find a discography for The National? Trying to see if I have all the non-album stuff.
-
Thanks for the recording. Can't wait to hear the new songs.

Me too!

I was also wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the Cooley solo album EVER seeing the light of day. I know that Patterson has gone on and on about how long they have played together, but didn't the last guy besides him who put out a solo record get kicked out of the band?

In the spirit of Randy Quaid dumping a hose into a sewer (the shiter was full!) I humbly request the possibility of a pm. In these non oink days I am a slave to release dates - in the old days it was all about buying the meal after you ate. I mean that I was buying something that I had already heard a bunch - if I liked it. Did that make sense?

I'm sort of surprised that I'm the only one excited about Okkervil River & DBT playing together.
-
Got an email today from ticketmaster with stuff that is on sale this week: Drive By Truckers w/Okkervil River 3/28/08 The National Richmond, VA Heard about the date last week and I was excited enough about The National finally opening, but Okkervil River opening makes this a can't miss for me.

Where? How?
-
Anyone know when the National is going to open here in Richmond? Drive By Truckers announced some 2008 tour dates and they are listed as playing there on 3/28/08. Paul

Nobody likes Metric or Apostle?

Both of those are fantastic! Can't wait for the Brendan Canning record to come out next year.

Watched "Almost Famous" the other day and noticed that Rainn Wilson is one of the Rolling Stone staffers.

These are pretty much the only BSS related bands that I haven't heard much from yet - all I have is the Emily Haines record, "Knives Don't Have Your Back". Thoughts on what to get or where to start?

Radiohead - Hail To The Thief (Vinyl Rip) A lot of times I think that vinyl rips are bogus, but the mix on the vinyl of this is totally different from the cd. It's as if the syrup that was poured over the master was removed leaving crisp, clear, instrumental seperation and vox. Really wish that I snagged the other vinyl Radiohead rips off of Oink before it was shut down. This is really great.

Thoughts?

What a blast of a show at the 930 last night. With Neko and Dan up there that is an awful lot of folks making great music in and out of the band.
