so I found a podcast my other favorite songwriter did, and in it he says the quote that is in my signature. It made me giggle, so I thought I would start a topic about how pretty jeff is. He's just awesome. Yep. (Soooo bored at school, btw)

I am not going to Bonnaroo simply because of the hippies, and I have heard conditions are really bad. I'd rather go see a full Wilco show in Atlanta. 15 hours is a bit much, but you could come down for the Son Volt show on the 14th and stay for a day or 2! I'm sort of laughing at how ironic (though not really) it will be to see Son Volt the day before the Wilco record comes out. I make a big deal everytime I wilco record comes out, like I go to the store with my wilco shirt on and look at the record and try to get people to buy it... it's crazy. (PS: I've had 3 shots of espresso this mo

i like the "little brother" song on the album, it's funny. my sister played the record a lot when she first got it, but now i don't hear much of it...

I think it helps you get more excited for the show. In the case of Wilco, I listened to them almost straight for a week before the show, and afterwards they were on a really consistant rotation on my CD player. the only band i've ever truly been so burnt out on i didn't listen to them before a gig was the old 97's...

My first Wilco show was October 14th, 2005 at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. It was the 3rd farthest away from home show I have seen, and I remember being so excited that day that it was super hard to concentrate on my classwork. For whatever reason, mostly being too young (got into wilco when i was 13) i was never allowed to see them live (dad's not a fan), and finally, he agreed to take me to see them. Mostly because I had been doing so well in school, and we had a hard time finding tickets, but Brianne helped us out. When we got there we met up with the wonderful JHamm and his buddies Nate an

"Jesus Etc." was the first song on YHF when I first heard the leak. I remember it was a Wends. and I was working on math homework, but took a break to put the cd-r in the cd player that used to live in the den. When the strings kicked in I stopped my homework and sat there and just listened, like intensely listened, for the enitre song... I think that's the moment Wilco became me favorite band... sorry for going vastly off-topic...

the way i view the whole file-sharing/downloading/mix tape making thing is this: 1. the record company makes more money off the cd's than the artists themselves do. therefore, you do the artist justice by going to see them in concert. 2. if you aren't buying the music illegally then i don't see what the problem is, because you aren't paying somebody else for something that is not theirs. and most people, i would hope, if they liked the album enough would go buy it at the store or go see the band's show. 3. i don't agree with the way the RIAA is handling the situation. instead of trying to
