  1. My personal favorite is the first show I saw, but that's because it was my first show, and as close to an out of body experiance as I've ever had. Thomas Wolf Auditorium- Asheville, NC- 10-14-05
  2. when i saw him he was a drunk babbling mess. he passed out beer to underaged kids at the front of the stage. maybe it was just that tour though. the songs were good, it was the between-songs that go me. that and the teeny boppers that insisted on squeezing as close to the stage as possible. totally not cool, because my sister's friend almost got trampled. it was the first GA show where i actually went to sit when the headliner came on.
  3. It's over at Sad Pandas too... I'm digging so far. My sister is going to be thrilled that this leaked. I just wish that dude's live show was better... saw him once, and I am not doing that again.
  4. When they come at the end of the verses it's just quick. there's my version of the song and here's rhett's...
  5. No prob, I hope it's right. I wrote that really early this morning.
  6. i really dig it! got it this past tuesday... i like that it's a little bit softer than Shake the Streets, and the only song that really annoys me is "Bomb. Repeat. Bomb"...
  7. Rhett plays this song in a D tuning (just drop everything a whole step on the guitar, if you are so inclined). So he starts on an F. I play this with a Capo on 1 and start on D. I played the following for Rhett a month ago, and he said it was as correct as it could be without drop tuning. So, the verse is: D, F#m, G, D, G, D chorus: G, D, weird E chord #1, weird E chord #2, G back to verse then for the "wake me up now" part: F#m, G, D, G, D, G, D weird E chord #1, weird E chord #2 the back to chorus... now then the weird E chords look like(i'm guessing it's some type of 7): #1 is first
  8. hmm, he must have just put random stuff at the end of the disc to fill it up... thanks guys!
  9. Does anybody have any idea about the track list? My friend made me a copy and didn't include the track list, and the one of allmusic doesn't have all the songs. There's 15 songs on it... the last track is only about :53 long... Thanks for any help. I'm loving the disc!
  10. rhett miller: I remember the Alamo, I don't recall who won They had swords, they had horses, I hear we had mighty guns Like the ones from Navarone last night on Channel 21 It's a long way back to El Paso. It was early Monday morning in the Central Standard Zone You were quiet like the TV, hung up like the telephone You were sleeping next to me, I might as well have been alone It's a long way back to El Paso. CHORUS And if my heart was a car, you would have stripped it a long time ago. And if my heart was a car, you would have stripped it a long time ago. And if my heart was a car You

A live DVD would be awesome. Crying isn't crazy at all. Both times I have seen them play it I have cried. It means a lot to me too (partly why I started the thread). The first time I saw Wilco they played it, and I was freaking out, yelling the words and when the guitar loudness started I lost it and pretty much started sobbing. After the show, when I was standing around talking to Jeff I told him how it made me cry(and why), and he was like, "Awe, it's okay." and gave me this big hug. It was a very cool moment.
