First time having a turntable for a new wilco album, for me. This thing with headphones is unreal. Is the AGIB vinyl worth picking up? Is it a significant jump in quality from the cd?

Didn't see this until now, did they move Whole Love up on the vinyl tracklist to avoid starting side 3 with Capitol City? Side 3 Whole Love Capitol City Standing O Rising Red Lung Side 4 One Sunday Morning (Song For Jane Smiley's Boyfriend) Sometimes It Happens

I love tailgating, but I can't imagine a worse scenario for the first listen of a new Wilco record.

I agree. Probably been addressed but how have they already heard the album?

It's also streaming for free on iTunes right now. I'll always give them a shot too. I don't find their recent stuff to be bad at all, in fact I like the added attention they've given to production on recent albums. Haven't given this too close of a listen yet, but John's absence is immediately noticeable.
