  1. I am really proud of the Giants. They have avoided the Super Bowl hangover and have overcome the loss of Umenyiora to kick some serious ass so far this year.

This is definitely my biggest suprise of the year. I thought at best they would go 8-8. That final game of the regular season when they played the Patriots and lost last year seemed to be the turning point. They haven't looked back.

What has the NFL become though where a team like the Titans can go 9-0? That's almost a joke.

  2. I'm with Louie B on all this. I voted for Nader in 2000 because I thought Gore was a horrible debater and I thought Bush was a prick. I have definetly lived to regret this decision. As much as I would like to see a Paul/Nader ticket it's just not going to happen.

And as far as I'm concerned Obama has a great positive message which is something I have never heard from a politician. Yeah I'm sure Obama is a politician and I'm not guilable enough to think Obama is going to accomplish everything he said he is going to but he will definitely improve our standing in the world.

  3. It's fun to watch two teams with great recruiting ethics square off this early. I'm rooting for OSU so I can watch them get thrashed once again by the SEC in the BCS.

east carolina is unreal. Skip Holtz!!!

Lou told ND to hire Skip when ND hired weiss. what a mistake

  4. Hucksbee seemed like the only likable guy on either side during the primaries. I don't like his politics, but he actually seemed like a really cool person.

His whole "Yeah someone must have pointed a gun at Obama and he feel off his chair" thing at the NRA convention was pretty funny.

  5. Since I live among moderately racists white assholes (you know the people who say they aren't racists but are) I fear what the republicans are trying to do. Nothing will infuriate the moderate racist more than seeing a black man talk down to a white woman and to me this is the image they are trying to portray. We're fucked.

  6. What I meant was that if you give Clinton credit for the boom, you should also give credit for the bust. However, I think that a lot of the turbulence of that cycle was due to the Fed not raising rates enough to curb economic growth.

I'm not an economist but this is my belief. The interest rates should've been high in the 90's to slow some of the growth. To me anytime you have extreme growth it's going to come to an end and it's not going to be good. I graduated in 2000 with and IT degree right at the end of the dot-com explosion. Lost my first two jobs because of cutbacks. Spent the next 8 years trying to save for a house only to have my savings not keep up with the amount that houses were going up year after year. Life is good.

  7. It was a trip listening to Bush trumpet his only success in office. The troop surge was a "huge" success. Never mind the billions of tax payer dollars being spent to pay off the tribal leaders to keep the violence down. These tribal leaders probably won't go out and get armed to the teeth though. I feel sorry for whoever takes office after this joke.

Bush sounded desperate to have his name on a building other than some sewage plant in California last evening.

  8. Or maybe, as incompetent as he is, he really does care. At least he cares more than Michael Moore.

The minute I saw this on Olbermann I knew that every Republican without a sense of humor would be all over this. This is bad but when the preacher says Katrina was a payback for all the homosexuals, that makes sense.

Ikol since the economic downturn is not hutring you do you think you could send me some money in Jan. or Feb. I'm going to need some help paying the bills. My wife and I are both educated but we graduated during the Bush administration. We entered college during the Clinton administration with promises of butterflies and daffodil fields. Well my wife and I still live paycheck to paycheck.

  9. Get a home warranty. My inspector was terrible.....absolutely terrible. Just bought a house in July. The AC unit went out two weeks after the move. Warranty covered it however. Oh and State Farm dropped my insurance because they said the roof was in bad condition even though it passed an inspection. If you have any doubts on the roof get a roofing inspector to look at it. I dropped State Farm as my insurance agent.

Also my mother in law cried when she saw the place because she thought the house would be a chore. She was right. Way more than I thought it would be. I wish I would've bought a new home in a suburban subdivision.

Oh also my wife was 6 months pregnant when we closed. I don't reccommend this.

    Life is good.
