Interesting... linky
And the 9/12 show at Pritzker was #3 concert, and What Light was #2 song
Even though they are a home town band, they "beat" Radiohead, Springsteen and other perennial winners.
After all that then XRT goes back to playing crappy music.

What? No complaining about how Bill B doesn't deserve to be AP Coach of the year? Where the hell is Bobboboboobobobbbbobob?
Yeah doesn't make a whole lot of sense does it? You go out and buy and trade for some good players you should expect wins.

Nice flip in the end zone. Typical Pete Carroll team.
-
Even Bryant Gumbel, who is a moron, had that one right. Wilfork stuck his finger inside Jacobs's facemask, but he wasn't trying to gouge his eye out. If he wanted to poke him in the eye, he could and would have.
You are right..he was probably just trying to clear a sleeper from his eye.

I imagine most people would consider the play of the game/turning point to be the bomb to Moss that put the Patriots on top, rather than a penalty the refs called on Amani Toomer for being a bonehead, but time will tell, I guess.
Maybe I didn't see the same thing you did. Toomer appeared to be around the play but the Pats player was backpedaling and tripped over his own feet. If the flag was thrown for words that were said then I'm suprised a flag isn't flying every down. We'll see where the league stands if they suspend Wilfork for his Ric flair eye gouge.
Anyways I look forward to Bill Simmons article. Something tells me now that Tommy holds the TD record it is legit.

no worse than the group celebration unsportsmanlike on Maroney after the first Moss touchdown.
A rule is a rule right? There had to be more than one person involved in the celebration because someone had to be holding Moss up as he did his ice skating swan. More than one person usually means a group correct?

Over/under on how long before H-Bomb Henry attempts to convince everyone that the establishment/refs gave the game to the Pats?
I shouldn't have to convince anyone outside of New england. Play of the game had to be the 15 yard unsportsmanlike on Toomer. N.E player taunts Giants sideline and trips over his own feet therefore 15 yard penalty on Toomer.
I don't think the officiating was the real question. The real question is will Bill Simmons write an article about how Brady is a stats/record whore much like he did Peyton in 2004. I'm saying no....wouldn't be the New England way.

You really, really have a hard-on for the Patriots, huh?
Yes, I'm sorry. It all stems from Jan 2004. I had to spend 6 weeks in New Hampshire for work. I'm not a diehard Colts fan but I received so much heckling and abuse from from co-workers there after the Colts lost in the AFC championship. It made me become a Patriot hater. It's a shame that years later I found out that they were cheating. Yes I hate everything New England much like Red Sox fans hate everything Yankee. Take most of my posts in stride I mean most in a sarcastic tone on the subject.

I wanted both.
Even wanted Miami as an undefeated team to defeat NE for a good laugh.
At least 16-0 looks likely and excited about that. I could say I saw a perfect season.
2 games away from never being able to conduct a productive conversation with a New England fan again.
-
Colts should've sent a message to the NFL by leaving their starters in longer.
-
sorry
i've been a cowboys fan since i got into football, but i'm also a big pats fan. oddly i got into the pats back in the bledsoe days, so i'm not just hopping on the wagon
That's what they all say.

"It's a major award!!"
Damn, hell, you say won it

The holding call was solid. You can make a case that Gaffney didn't control the ball through the touchdown catch, but what happened to Ben Watson was a textbook defensive hold.
And the league set it up so that the "best" games can be moved to the evening slots late in the season, for ratings. It is what it is, but please explain to me why the NFL shouldn't want a team with a chance to go undefeated playing in one of their prime time games every week? I'm not a Pats fan, but I recognize that they should be playing night games every week.
colts 2005 - 13 - 0. Lost on week 15 playing a 1:00 game. Probably wouldn't generate the same ratings extravaganza. That could've been before flex scheduling though.
-
The Patriots should only have to play on Monday nights.
I agree JCrew tommy should play on no other night than Monday.
-
Just so we're clear, you are implying that Gooddell fixed this game, right?
El.
Oh.
El.
That definsive hold was weak fella.
I think I pretty much know where the commisioner stands on his light handed punishment for cheating.
A big market team undefeated this late into the season is a dream for the NFL. Have they played a non-prime time game in a month?
-
One of the stupidest things I've ever heard a player do.
It was well warranted.
-
wtf
I guess we finally see where Goodell stands.
-
Glorious.
The Pats are on Prime Time.... again.
Have I mentioned that I don't care for the Patriots.
-
Ted Ginn Jr.
I'm sorry, I'm just wallowing in self pity today.
Where the Dolphins went wrong.
1. Hiring Cam Cameron. This guy was an awful head coach for the Hoosiers.
2. Drafting Teddy Ginn over Brady Quinn.

Lest we forget folks the Colts are just one touchdown, and a missed chippie FG, away from a perfect season so far. All of this talk about the Pats being the greatest ever is just fine with me. Keep Indy off of the microscope for awhile - they're going to be there at the end.
If Belichick doesn't start taking his stars out of already-decided games, and a Moss or a Brady gets hurt, he's gonna have some 'splainin' to do. It could come back to bite him in the ass.
No Freeney...no pass rush. Colts only hope is that they face the Patriots with Matt Cassell. Maybe karma will catch up.
My hatred of the Patriots is reaching Palestinian/Israeli level
-
What is this humble pie they serve in New England that Moss keeps referring to? I envision a casserole dish of Peter Frampton and Bill Belichick's fecal matter sprinkled with some Lays chips.
Moss has yet to plant a Boston police officer in the asphalt with his Lexus SUV. It must cure pariah's
-
No one can take away the fact that Kucinich overachieved in the wife category. If he pulled that personal success off can you imagine what he could accomplish in Washington.
-
That Brady-Moss connection seems to be working out.
Yeah and I'm glad that the NFL continues to shove them down our throats week after week. Not to take away that the *Pats are good though.
Discuss: "We're the 49ers" is a better song than "Super Bowl Shuffle"

Much rather see the Colts get beat this week rather than getting beat by the cocksuckers from New England.
Maybe we'll apply the Boston theory of championships next season and buy some players.
