  1. The purchase page didn't show up for me either until almost 10 after and I was using Firefox. I've never had that happen before. Ended up in the upper balcony (this was with xrt pre-sale). Just happy to get a seat!
  2. Also a lot of those legging tights with no feet...'80s too. No one looked good in them back then and they still don't...
  3. Happy (belated) Birthday to one of the nicest folks in the whole wide world! It's always so reassuring to me to see you at the front of that Wilco line... Sandy
  4. Just was listening to Yo La Tengo's version of the Only One's "The Whole Of The Law" in the car... Lovely.
  5. another view of the festivities. such a wonderful night...thanks to ALL that made it happen...!
  6. My hometown too...and my daughter is working on a Masters at NIU now. I had no idea it had happened until she called me to tell me she was safe...

  8. Wendy Rice just announced on XRT that all 5 nights are sold out. Like LouieB I fondly remember those Lounge Ax days too... Signed, Happy To Have A Wednesday Ticket
  9. I can't recommend a gallery appropriate for your work but a good place to go for info on Chicago art galleries is: http://www.chicagogallerynews.com/ They provide links to gallery web sites so you can check out what artists/types of work they represent. In general I'd say the River North area galleries represent more established/conservative work. The West Loop and North/Bucktown/Wicker galleries show more up and coming contemporary work.
  10. Oh no Louie, I wasn't disagreeing with you...just wanted you to know that I didn't get the same vibe as the other person. I hope they get a good reception in other cities! sandy
  11. I really wouldn't agree with that...I thought for an opening band they did get folks' attention in a positive manner. It was pretty sparse in there at first anyway. I thought they did a really good set... the sound and intensity built up and by the time they were done people were paying attention and clapping for them.
  12. Noah Levy Tweedy = Scot Summit Murphy = David Spear Louris = Michael Macklyn Perlman = Raymond Virginia Johnson = Jarret Decatur Mars = Eddie Garfield
  13. Yes that's the one...whoever photoshopped made all their eyes black (irises/pupils) so they look like mutants. The other photos everyone has their normal eye color.
  14. All their eyes are black in the photo on page 12 and it scares me....
  15. As you know...me too! That was November 23, 1994. My first Tweedy solo show was December 29, 1994 at Lounge Ax. I was obviously hooked since I'm still here
