And don't forget, posting in the random forums don't add to your post count anymore!

I've still not heard any of the new tracks so this kinda makes no difference to me... I'm still really not sure what to expect with this album. Can't find that news article on NME.com though...

Forget Cassettes : Salt They're touring with ...And You Will Know Us By Trail Of Dead and whilst it's not quite as mad as them, it's great indie-rock. Reminds me a little of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's As for that Kings Of Leon record, well, no band on the planet makes me feel less enthusiastic than them... for some reason they just get on my tits!

The first track on this fucking kills...

Yeah, I wasn't completely won over by what I heard on their myspace, but I'll d/l the album and give it a go...
-
It's definitely better than the last Strokes record, much more consistant record... and they said he couldn't right any songs for that album, might have to have a re-think next time around!
-
Do not be afraid! It's kinda post-metal, not really heavy at all, more shoe-gaze-with riffs...

If you like that, you should try what I'm listening too... Jesu > Conqueror

I think that new Deerhoof record is by far their most accessible record. A lot more so than A Runners Four... Her voice isn't quite that of a chipmunk as much on the new one either!

Not the vinyl version I got through the other day, which sounds superb, but still...

The original "Psycho Cyclist"!! Have a great day and a very happy birthday!

I'll second anything by Martin Amis and the short stories of Jorge Luis Borges as well (just read them myself and their lovely). I'll also recommend The Corrections by Jonathan Frazen, fantastic book and The Magus by John Fowles - perfect holiday material, a dark and fantastic thriller.

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is one album I really couldn't do without and absolutely love. Other albums I play regularly that are close behind are: Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon Paul Weller - Wild Wood
