  1. I really must get some more Books stuff...
  2. Exactly! Ladies & Gentlemen is SUCH a good album, you need it twice
  3. There's got to be thousands of people who've used though. My mate recently used the Super Furry Animals "Fire in my heart" as their first dance - it was lovely.
  4. Yeah, agreed with the above - start with Ladies & Gentlemen then move forward, then back As a taster for some of their earlier material, the live album "Live at the Royal Albert Hall" is absolutely superb, the sound is fantastic.
  5. At the moment this is one of the most disappointing albums of the year so far... it's SOOO bland...
  6. I've seen him live a couple of times. He's a lot better live than on record IMO - I've always been bored of his albums, but live he has a bit more personality, he's a bit spiky that's for sure.
  7. This grows on me more and more each time I listen to it...
  8. ^^^ I've had "Down By The River" in my head ever since Sat night...
  9. For UK viewers present, they've signed to Rough Trade in the UK...
  10. Sorry for the spam-like nature of this, but we interviewed Stephen last week: http://thelineofbestfit.com/2008/03/04/an-...tephen-malkmus/
  11. It seems as though my interesting in NY has INCREASED since seeing him live - I've not been able to listen to anything else this weekend
  12. This was my first time in seeing him. The tickets were expensive, but as he was is one of my all-time favourites, I thought I'd taken the opportunity as I live so close to London. Glad I did.
  13. He's played a few nights at Hammersmith, one more tonight as well.
  14. Interesting - slightly different set list to the one we had last night - we didn't get "Fuckin' Up" but we got "Roll Another Nunber" as the encore... And no "Ambulance Blues", which is a bit of a shame.
  15. Wow... that's all I've got to say... wow. Over an hour acoustic slot first up, highlights for me were "From Hank To Hendrix", "Man Needs a Maid" and "Heart of Gold"... the sound was fantastic. Electric set was loud and proud, "Mr. Soul", "Winterlonge", "Oh, Lonesome Me" and an epic "No Hidden Path" which sprawled out for 20 mins into a mass of feedback were personal highlights. He wasn't that talkative, a few comments but nothing political. Only odd thing, I guess, was the artist with him that "painted" images for the songs then put them at the front of the stage.
