hmmmm... first listen... the production is a bit, err, dense... EDIT: The record gets better as it goes on.

Basically, they should move towards the rugby way of treating the ref - the players have the utmost respect for him. If you swear you'll get yourself a yellow, and a 10 minute sit down of the field of play. I think it's disgusting the way players treat Refs, regardless of whether their calls are right or wrong.

I get to roll out my Rutles story... John Halsey is the landlord of my local pub! Serves some of the best fish 'n chips, and pints, this side of the Severn... Picture of him not behind the bar:

Oh, I don't know... I think Girls Aloud marginally pip Sugababes... but only cos there's more of 'em :-) As for Keeley Hawes, I've not made my mind up about her yet. She can be funny looking...

Still my favourites...

I'm still not convinced about Watchmen as a movie, but we'll see - the finale is going to be a CGI fest, no wonder it's going to take over a year of post-production... There was talk about how Rorschach's mask would move about as well...

I thought it was awful... I've got to review it as well... '1492' is absolutely dreadful. It's just really bland. Don't see the "Recovering" similarities as I liked that record. "Los Angeles" is the best track on it, no surprise RA was involved with it!

I love Battles - missed them live though so far, hoping to rectify that at ATP in May...

Cool! They're playing here next month and I'm hoping to catch them then. NP:

I saw them a couple of years ago at the ATP Festival in the UK and they were great. I couldn't get over how great the sound was and how, for a band who've always loved a bit of studio trickery, it translated really well live.

I've finally got round to listening to "I Will..." and I really liked it. Sure, it starts a bit quietly but it builds nicely. Feels a lot more robust than the stuff on Plans. Agreed though, the beginning definitely sounds like the end of Ashes...
