I like most of the stuff he did for Tom Petty, but the problem is all his production / drums sound the same, no matter who he was working with. Like the stuff he did on the Beatles single, Free As a Bird, or whatever it was called, that made it sound like "Jeff Lynne Productions"...

The National - White Sessions EDIT: This is f**king excellent... the songs sound EVEN BETTER live... damn I wish I could catch them touring Boxer.

I can see me listening to this A LOT over the coming months - there's just something about it, it sounds so welcoming! Here's hoping he'll do a proper UK tour later in the year - gotta get me my RA fix!

I got a promo through for this on the weekend - I'm not a massive NP's fan, but I like it. The only problem is, they've split the 12 tracks over 99 indexes which makes it an odd listen!

On my first listen now and I'm loving it... it's great, a mix between Cold Roses, Jacksonville and Love Is Hell with a twist of Rock N Roll... lovely!
