  1. If there were to be a show in Asheville, NC on February 28, my daughter could see her first Wilco concert on her 3rd birthday. I'm just saying...
  2. Asheville, NC please. I know a wee little girl who'd absolutely love to attend a Wilco concert and it would have to be in Asheville due to bed time restrictions and such.
  3. It was nice to say hello again! One very stellar moment for me - seeing Jeff Tweedy and my 2 year old daughter dance together as he played No More Poetry earlier this year. My wife and I were nearly in panic mode, but then he started imitating her dance moves and went along with her! It was an amazing, amazing moment! A small part of me wishes I had pulled out a camera, but it's a moment I won't forget.
  4. Definitely not mine. I would never render a 90+ minute show to 1.26 gigabytes. I'm not knocking the uploader, but there's something wrong with those numbers. Just based on the file sizes, the quality can't be that good. On another note, if anyone ever wants to torrent one of my DVDs, please do so. Let me know if you need the disc. I don't do torrents myself because I don't have the best internet connection.
  5. DVDs should have an audio_ts player, even though it's normally empty. A number of DVD players do play divx these days and the files are smaller so that's a good option.
  6. I have a DVD completed of this show. Just haven't been able to get the site updated but it's done. I used an HD recording of the show so it looks sharp. Also included the extended interview from the ACL website and appearances from Leno, Letterman, and Jools Holland. When I get a chance, I'll update the site.
  7. There's a pretty nice little interview on the ACL site now - ACL Interview When I get a DVD done, I'll include that and the Letterman, Leno, and Jools Holland appearances with it.
  8. I will be happy to handle any B&P requests for this. Should have a DVD done by the time any B&P packages would arrive my way. If anyone needs anything else, check my site - The DVD Project
  9. Setlist for the episode - 1. You Are My Face 2. Handshake Drugs 3. Side With The Seeds 4. Via Chicago 5. Impossible Germany 6. Sky Blue Sky 7. Too Far Apart 8. Hate It Here 9. Walken 10. I'm The Man Who Loves You 11. On And On And On I'll try and post some clips this week if someone doesn't beat me to it.
  10. I'm pretty sure they missed the start of IATTBYH. My computer was looking for a connection to the stream the entire time it was down and popped up at that point. My copy is one large file. I never stopped recording because I wasn't sure when they'd air the first few songs. I can upload the one file at some point today or tomorrow though. Looks fairly good, I think.
  11. I recorded it also and got all but the first few seconds of IATTBYH.
  12. I'd go with this - Blackmagic Intensity I've read some rave reviews of it and have been wanting to get one myself.
  13. Wilco will be on Austin City Limits in a few weeks. Not sure that's been mentioned yet. Here's a link - Austin City Limits Looks like it'll be a full hour this time. If someone could possibly record this for me, I'd be grateful. I'll probably forget to do it myself.
  14. I had the pleasure of enjoying Blue Mountain play last night at the Town Pump Tavern in Black Mountain, NC. A most awesome show!! A conservative estimate would put them playing about three and a half hours and about 40 songs. They took a couple of breaks but played from 9:30 until 2 in the morning. Not only was it long, but it was very impressive. One of the best concerts I've seen in recent times. If you can catch them on this reunion tour, please do.
  15. I have this recorded on my handheld satellite radio. I've listened to it and it sounds pretty good, but I don't know if the quality is any better/worse thru a DVR or anything else. I can try and transfer it this weekend if all else fails and no other copies arise.
  16. Didn't see this when searching so forgive me if I missed it, but Wilco's concert from Louisville this friday is going to be broadcast live on Sirius satellite radio. Channel 18 at 9 pm. Here's more info - The Spectrum It's in the programming part on that page.
  17. Here's a YSI link to a DivX video - Wilco - Either Way
  18. I think Kicking Television got played on MTV2 maybe 3 or 4 times total. Jesus, Etc. got played a couple of times also. I'm pretty sure A Shot In The Arm was never aired in this country. The only copy in circulation is from the Rage show in Australia. Someone here sent that to me a long, long time ago and I forget who it was. Been so long ago.
  19. I'm glad somebody knew there was a star in the house. Very much a last minute decision to go and I'm glad I made the 2.5 hour drive each way. It was a great, great show, as everyone else has mentioned. I think this is the best incarnation of Wilco and it continues to show.

    Bonnaroo

I captured this, but I'm not entirely sure how good the capture is. Will strip the DRM and give it a look in the next day or two.

I have a DVD done of this. I included the 2 songs from Jools Holland's show, What Light from Letterman, and both VW commercials. If someone wants to do a tree or something, let me know. I'm swamped under B&Ps right now or I'd do it myself.

It's a FLV video, which I believe is Flash Video. I saved it and converted it to a better format. Will make a DVD of it some day pretty soon.
  24. I forget who it was (I'm thinking it was John Mellencamp), but they said something along the lines that the best way for some bands to garner attention to their new CD is for their songs to be used in commercials. The VW commercials definitely won't make me want to go buy a new car but I think it's another avenue to advertise a new CD, somewhat like moxiebean says.
  25. Many, many thanks!! I appreciate it.
