oatmealblizzard
In brief, it is a great album and definitely worth checking out.
rghammo
I love it. Rhino's deluxe edition is worth it if it's not too much more. Some of the bonus tracks on that get listened to as much as the album.
renic
Agreed with the comments above, a great record, the deluxe version is worth it.

oatmealblizzard
Ahhh. The American Dream. Dusty is/was a bad man."I have wined and dined with kings and queens, and I've slept in alleys and dined on pork and beans." - Dusty Rhodes Edited July 17, 2006 by oatmealblizzard
EL the Famous
he teamed with Lawler once, but i'm not sure if it was in Memphis. I was saying to myself, if there isn't a Dream/Lawler reference and/or photo in here as I scroll down...he's lost it.

nettles
Truly classic and essential, most especially for the Female music fans, equal parts, sadness, empowerment, hope, and vulnerability, oh and sexy as hell. " in the midst of all my darkness baby"
Is Chicago Is Not Chicago
I definatley picked up "dusty in memphis" last summer and was stunned by how fantastic of an album this was. I was wondering if anyone else could reccomend another dusty album to check out?
jimmyjimmy
Dusty in Memphis is a classic. Highly reccomend the vinyl re-issue on the Four Men with Beards label.Another good one is Dusty Springfield: A Brand New Me circa 1970 which I think follwed up Dusty in Memphis. LouieB
Most of the extra cuts are worth it but not all.....either way it is worth it. There are occasionally original versions of this floating around. LouieB
Littlebear
It's a classic, as much as Aretha Franklin's ones. And it was released the previous day of my birth (and on my mum's 25th birthday).
nettles
I've since picked up 'Brand new me', recorded with philly soul producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, another classic, these are 2 of my favorite records. Dusty is untouchable, if we can choose what heaven sounds like, it would be this era of Dusty for me.
