Analogman
Man, I'd like to hang out with Joel Bernstein for a day.
Atticus
preview from neilyoung.com wow. those songs had such clarity and such great tone.
Willkoman
I was a little upset we weren't getting a full show but what's missing is mainly the opening acoustic songs. I've got alot of Neil solo, it's the Danny Whitten Crazy Horse I'm after. Can't wait.
Analogman
I think the last NY thing I grabbed was Muddy Track. Joel's website - for those who have never seen it

Willkoman
Ever try The Morrison Hotel Gallery? It's one of my favorites. http://www.morrisonhotelgallery.com/store/neil-young.html
Sweet Papa Crimbo
6 tracks feels like a bit of a letdown after all the times the archives has been promised. They'd better be some damn good tracks. Good lord. This is like complaining that Scarlett Johansen is lousy in bed.

Analogman
I think I would rather listen to Everybody Rockin' than see Scarlet Johansen hyped yet again.

Analogman
I didn't buy it - but I do own near mint copies of Time Fades Away and Journey Thru The Past on vinly.
peqger
Cool, especially TFA, I hope they release it on CD sometime. Don't Be Denied is one of my favorite NY songs. JTTP I don't care that much honestly, but I guess it would make sense to release it with the movie (have you seen it, btw?)

I look around on certain places from time to time for it though.
peqger
Well, what I have heard it's pretty weak, but I'd like to see it nevertheless (completists purposes.) Muddy Track is aces though, don't you agree?

Jimbo Jones
Cool, especially TFA, I hope they release it on CD sometime. Don't Be Denied is one of my favorite NY songs. JTTP I don't care that much honestly, but I guess it would make sense to release it with the movie (have you seen it, btw?) Time Fades Away is great but I don't think it will ever be released on CD. I believe the story is that they recorded it in a peculiar way and Neil could never find a satisfactory sound on CD. I am sure some of the Neil fans here can fill in the exact details. I was at the WFMU record fair in New York this weekend and I saw a number of copies on vinyl there for 10-15 dollars. In fact, I bought my copy at that same record fair two years ago so it's not an impossible item to find.
Vacant Horizon
the unreleased HDCD version of TFA is on the pig site. sounds like it is legit. and there is a bonus track-a sloppy electric Last Trip to Tulsa.c

Willkoman
Everybody's RockingTransLanding on WaterRe*ac*torAll on vinyl and all mint Very nice. Where's "Old Ways"? I have everything from "Neil Young" (2nd pressing, his name is on the cover) to "Broken Arrow". All bought new. I stopped @ Year Of The Horse. I regret that now. It's the only Neil record I'm on.
