MrRain422
Tonight's game was awesome. It looks as though perhaps still have enough left in the tank for one more big playoff push.
Duck-Billed Catechist
Merry Christmas, Scott Skiles. You're fired. Eh, not sure the problem was with the coach.
bobbob1313
Funny stuff, there. Man, is everyone still waiting for the Heat and Bulls to turn it around, or are we going to finally write both teams off? They are both terrible.
mountain bed
Hey, Indiana is in second place (15-13). On a small roll (5 out of 6). Most importantly, they're actually interesting to watch - run and gun!
MrRain422
If I were a Pacers fan I think I'd refrain from encouraging anything involving a gun.

Guest Jules
the Bulls are awful. Paxson couldn't pull the trigger to get Gasol, and now 3 of our best players are injured. And we lost to Minnesota by 16. Terrible.
PigSooie
Gasol is a bitch. He drinks Smirnoff Ice.
Mr. Kinsley
Gasol is a bitch. He drinks Smirnoff Ice. Maybe, but Kwame played like he was drinking Smirnoff Ice during the game. Goodbye Kwame "Hands of Brick" Brown!! Man I can't wait for Bynum to be healthy and see those two along side each other!
Duck-Billed Catechist
1. The Bulls look like idiots for not getting a Kobe trade done. 2. The Bulls look like idiots for not getting the Gasol trade done before that. Surely they could've offered a better deal than the Lakers--if they were willing to part with a draft picks. I'd like to review the post I made about Tyrus Thomas before the season:Well, we've had this conversation before. I think Tyrus will develop into a decent interior scorer. He's developed a little bit of a jump shot, a little bit of a baby hook, and I think he'll get fouled a lot and shoot 70%+ from the line this year. Oh, also, last year his +/- per 48 was the highest on the team. This was totally wrong--except the 70% free throw thing (I will pat myself on the back for predicting a 10 point increase in free throw shooting). He hasn't gotten enough playing time to develop more, though.

cryptique
Wow. I'm not sure that's such a good deal for Dallas. I could maybe see swapping the same sets of players plus one of the picks, but two first-round picks plus a lot of cash? That's a hell of a price to pay for a soon-to-be 35-year-old guard and a soon-to-be 30-year-old role-player. If anything, I'd expect Dallas to want a pick or two from the Nets, not the other way around.
MrRain422
The Nets will buyout Stackhouse who will resign with the Mavs. Diop and George are in contract years and Dallas wasn't going to re-sign them. It's pretty much Kidd for Harris.

cryptique
Well, Kidd makes $19 million or something, so that probably explains the cash. But if it had to do with Kidd's salary, shouldn't that cash have gone from the Nets to the Mavs, not the other way around? Maybe I just don't understand how these trades work. I guess I'd expect the team acquiring the highly-paid player to also receive some cash to offset that player's salary, or something like that. MrRain422
Not if the point of trading him was to dump the salary. In that case, they aren't going to make the deal if they're just going to end up paying him anyway.
jmacomber68w
http://www.nationalpost.com/sports/story.html?id=306436 im not going to read every one of these posts, but this is pretty recent news, nba european division within the decade, personally I love the idea, Id like to see 5 new franchises to make a 35 team league, with seven 5 team divisions, with 7 division winners making the playoffs with 5 wildcard teams, dump this east/west, ive never like the idea of seperate confernces, I think its outdated considering how many teams a pro sports league has now (with baseball being the exception, for oldtimey sakes)
