Welsh Rich
Â Is this actually meant to sound like Queen?
Calexico
 Is this actually meant to sound like Queen?  That bad then?     Truly demented!
Welsh Rich
That bad then? Â it's just really bonkers... I can't believe some people are saying this is dark scary and affecting the kids... this is more related to a Darkness record than, say, a Black Sabbath or metal record... Â It's fun, can't quite believe the kids are going quite so nuts over it...
muller
The fact that its meant to be a "concept" album about a guy dying from Cancer immediately put me off it.
Calexico
The Darkness? Oh my sweet tattooed Jesus....I shall stay welll away then.
Welsh Rich
It just amazes me... just because these guys have been marketed as "alternative" then the kids lap it up... There's only one overtly alternative and political punk rock record for me this year and that's been The Thermals album - this is what people should really be buying in droves... It does remind me more of The Darkness... the vocals are too over produced... there's some ok riffs in there, but it's a distinctly average album. Welsh Rich
The fact that its meant to be a "concept" album about a guy dying from Cancer immediately put me off it. I've got no problems with concept albums... but this is just nonsense - he's rabbiting on about vampires and marching bands all over Brian May's guitar... Freddie wouldn't have approved.
Calexico
Never heard The Thermals album. I am way behind this year. Stupid house renovation!!!

Freddie wouldn't have approved. It wasnt the concept part that put me off.  I thought a couple of their singles were ok from the first album. I cant remember what they were called though - one of the videos had them performing at a high school.
Welsh Rich
Enough of that shite... Â This up now:Â Much better....
