guitman
A couple of months ago, someone posted a pet sounds/yhf demo mashup of IATTBYH and You Still Believe in Me. Is that still available? It's the strangest thing...I was walking my dog the other day in the park out here in San Diego, and it just popped into my head after several months...(especially the part, "I wanna cryyyyyy....") Thanks! Sags
Nonlinear Nonfiction
I've spend a while looking for this and only discovered the name of the track to be "YOU STILL BELIEVE IN TRYING TO BREAK YOUR HEART" Found it on a broken link that turned up in a google search. I hope someone puts this up, I'm bored!

yankhotelfox
I LOVE Pet Sounds and of course I love YHF. There are similarities between Brian's and Jeff's writing styles. I think the end of Summerteeth (Wake up feeling old, Summerteeth) has some nice Brian-esque moments, especially the vocal harmony in the title track. I've listened to Pet Sounds since I was a child and YHF was the first Wilco album I heard, which sucked me right in. I used to tell my father, "You've got to hear this, it's like the Pet Sounds of my generation." I base this mostly on the emotions that I sense from each record. I loved hearing this but the most I got out of it was that both songs were written in the same musical time and that's why they matched up well together. What did other folks get from it? Nonlinear Nonfiction
Beautiful! both of them. I've heard a lot of mashups and found that I either HATE or LOVE them, they either work or they dont, they either stink or they eminate a lovely scent of roses. These were two of the best single mashup tracks I've ever heard. The pieces worked well and the DJs used the different parts of each song to compliment each other very nicely. At first I was thinking - I only like this because I love Wilco and I love the Beach Boys but then I realized that my strong feelings for those bands probably made me a tougher critic, not an easier one! Bravo.

So Long
It's pretty cool, although halfway through I found myself nodding along...more interested in simply IATTBYH than anything else...
