Howdy folks...I may as well ask this here. I was pretty surprised to find that my YHF vinyl actually had a 'real' ending for Pot Kettle Black, where-as the CD fades and goes into Poor Places. This is probably reason enough to own the vinyl, but is there another difference that anyone is aware of? I seem to recall noticing something else, but have forgotten now...maybe on Ashes?

Pot Kettle Black is suppose to NOT fade out. I think that is the only difference. at least that I am aware of. But I only got it today... Listened to it 3 times intensly already tho. haha.

seems i noticed a subtle difference as well but it was a few weeks ago and it'll be a while before i'll be able to spin it again. i agree that the yhf vinyl is a step up sound wise compared to the cd.

Just received my BT on vinyl last night :thumbup did not have a chance to listen to it yet Damn kids(kidding) and work(not kidding) I was a little disappointed that both disk are in one sleeve. As in, it does not fold open to reveal new art work/photos etc. that I had not seen? The inner sleeves are blank also; did it ever come out with additional artwork or lyrics?

Cold Snowy night tonight should provide ample listening time :music :music

I have one question about the YHF and AGIB vinyl:

There are regular and 180g pressings, right? How do I see the difference?

My YHF-vinyl is licensed by Sundazed, my AGIB is by Rhino Vinyl. Both are Gatefolds. Any other signs?

Thanks for any help!

... and there are two auctions for Summerteeth vinyl, I just found on ebay - one from GB, one from Germany.

I think they are only available in 180 gram. I could be wrong tho. Another way of checking to see is take one of the YHF or AGIB vinyls and wiegh one in your hand then take another vinyl that you know is not a very high gram in the other hand and weigh them. (okay I was only half kidding with that last part)

I've got Being There on vinyl, and it sounds fine. I actually thought it sounded fresher than the cd.

My thoughts exactly.

BTW: just because a pressing is 180G - that doesn't necessarily mean it's better. I've gotten crappy 180G pressings and I've gotten great ones, just like with standard weight records. That term is quickly becoming a sales gimmick.

Now, I don't have the best turntable yet (damn expensive guitars) but I noticed that YHF seemed to play faster, almost a whole step up from the album. I can hear the pitch pretty well, so I don't think it was me. Has any else had this problem? I played other records I know on it, and they all were the right speed/pitch. Am I doing something wrong?

I might try to hold your horses on the SBS vinyl dreams, as AGIB and YHF didn't have vinyl counterparts for about five months after their initial release. And by that point, any extra downloads will have been posted on here five or six times already. :lol

WRONG!! SBS will be released on vinyl, the combo pack will include LP, CD ,T-shirt and Bag $55 Hell yeah, there by fixing the download question also,I like to believe "Wilco" read our thread and listened? Don't fuck with Fantasy :worship

i haven't noticed that but i'd have to get the cd out to compare. the heavier weight shouldn't make a big difference in turntable speed. it can throw off the vta a little and if the vta was already on the edge of acceptable it might push it over the edge with a thicker lp compared to normal, 120gm lps.

vta (vertical tracking angle) problems can dull or distort the sound i believe but don't know about causing a pitch problem.
