solace
Have you seen them perform live?Ted is f'n great live. i don't like the currently 3 piece lineup quite as much as the 5 piece he had while touring Oak, and i really miss his old guitarist, but he's still great no matter what. finally seeing him again in April, first time in like 3 years NP: Electrelane - No Shout, No Calls so far this is way better than the last one, which was a let down from their first
benjamin
never gave this a thorough listen. I went back to it after loving the new album
Welsh Rich
/\ /\ that's a great album this of montreal disc is pretty good but i'm not sure it's really my style. might have to give it more listens. I'm really liking that Of Montreal disc... think it's a corker, but definitely an acquired taste, reminds me a lot of Destroyer, very eloquent "pop" music. never gave this a thorough listen. I went back to it after loving the new album I went back to that over the summer after not hearing it for ages, forgot what a great album it was...
solace
Of Montreal are great, but i can only take them in small doses myself

brianjeremy
Of Montreal are great, but i can only take them in small doses myself I think that it depends on what you're listening to. I think the earlier stuff delves too far into the twee spectrum to be taken seriously. I honestly haven't given their older stuff too much of a listen over the past few years. I think their newer stuff stands up well to repeated listens. How can you not wnat to dance listining to Wraith Pinned to the Mist?

Welsh Rich
Some great choices (as one would expect) The Ponys is a particular highlight, not heard of them before until the album dropped on my doorstep the other week... great stuff.
Deaf Ro
Yeah, it's much better than the other record of theirs I've heard. If you dig Deerhunter, check out Loscil - they don't sound anything alike but they're on the same label (Kranky), which rarely if ever puts out bad stuff.
