rghammo
Who did the Mercy Lounge (Nashville) sell their soul to? April 14 - TV on the RadioApril 16 - Andrew BirdApril 17 - Clap Your Hands Say YeahApril 18 - Tapes 'n Tapes Unfortunately, I am out of town for TVotR but I already have tickets for CYH. Three great bands on three consecutive school nights in a row=dilemma.

rghammo
skip the middle one To momentarily hijack the thread, how are Tapes 'n Tapes live? I guess I like them least of the three.
solace
they're really solid live, and have gotten a LOT better over the last year (guess that's what a world tour will do for ya)
solace
you should see my march/april wish list: Mar 2 Cold War Kids @ Hi-DiveMar 3 The English Beat @ Bluebird Theater (from experience, not worth it)Mar 3 Glenn Kotche @ Larimer Lounge Mar 5 Clipse @ Gothic TheaterMar 6 Snow Patrol/Ok Go/Silversun Pickups @ Fillmore AuditoriumMar 7 Dropkick Murphys @ Fillmore AuditoriumMar 9 Malajube @ Larimer LoungeMar 9 Hella @ Hi-Dive (they're awesome, but it gets old after about 15 minutes)Mar 10 Midlake @ Hi DiveMar 17 Sebadoh @ Fox TheatreMar 18 Badly Drawn Boy @ Fox Theatre (Adem is opening this tour!!!)Mar 19 Viva Voce @ Hi-DiveMar 20 TV On The Radio @ Ogden Theater (go see Dr. Dog!)Mar 20 Dr. Dog @ Larimer LoungeMar 22 The Thermals @ Hi DiveMar 23 Ratatat @ Bluebird Theater (bored me live)Mar 24 Melissa Ferrick @ Fox TheatreMar 25 Brand New @ Ogden Theatre (emoooo )Mar 26 Dirty On Purpose @ Hi-DiveMar 30 Subtle @ Larimer LoungeApr 1 Apples In Stereo @ Bluebird TheaterApr 5 Neko Case @ Gothic TheatreApr 6 Maria Taylor @ Hi-DiveApr 7 Menomena @ Hi-Dive (tough call, i can see Deerhunter being a bit so-so live, and Menomena are a lot of fun)Apr 7 Deerhunter @ Larimer LoungeApr 10 The Long Winters/The Broken West @ Bluebird TheaterApr 15 The Frames @ Boulder TheaterApr 16 Sunset Rubdown @ Hi-DiveApr 16 SSLYBY @ Fox Theatre (decent live, but Sunset are frickin' great)Apr 22 Ted Leo + Pharmacists @ Gothic TheaterApr 22 The Decemberists @ Fillmore Auditorium (Ted's always been waaaaaaaay more fun than the Decemberists live, and it's prolly cheaper no?)Apr 24 What Made Milwaukee Famous @ Hi-Dive ( )Apr 25 Andrew Bird @ Fox Theatre if only i were rich. and could be in two places at once, in some cases... i guess i should never complain again about nobody coming to denver... or complain more, maybe it worked?!? did that help? Mystik Spiral
it did, thanks. i was def leaning toward malajube over hella, dr. dog over tvotr AND sunset over sslyby. and the snow patrol? totally would only go for the other two bands. but seeing as how it's snow patrol at the fillmore, tix prolly won't be cheap. still undecided over ted leo vs. the decemberists... colin was sick when i saw them in november so it was a really short set. also, he promised "something special" the next time they come to town... solace
yeah, that's what i figured for SP, that's how it is here too. Snow Patrol are tolerable, but not worth much $$ live, especiallyin a big venue. Colin promised us something special too last fall... and then they announced this upcoming tour which skips the Twin Cities... so fuck that guy that and i haven't seen Ted Leo since October 2003
explodo
You guys should see my list for spring: Ummm..... Apples in StereoJohn Vanderslice And that is all. Figures that the worst semester for music out here would be my last semester. I could have gone to see Rhett Miller, I guess.

markosis
For christ's sake, this guy hasn't touched Philly in like 2 years. It seems lots of people skip Philly, for that matter. as for Mystik, your money would be best spent seeing Dr. Dog. As one who has seen them live 3 times in the past year, they never dissappoint.
