cash
This is copy and pasted from http://www.idolator.com: "Above The Din: Will Wilco's "Blue Sky" Make Fans See Red? Every few days, new songs by a beloved artist surface on the Internet--and within hours, the Web renders its verdict. Let's see if those leaked cuts from Wilco's Sky Blue Sky are faring: - "...this is some Randy Newman horse shit. And then you've got the organs in the background that make me cringe because they remind me of Fastball, and the intermittent explosively diarrhetic guitar solos from the guy who looks like David Bowie, and you just know he's playing them with like a shish-kebob skewer and a mannequin leg." [Wolf Notes]- "Out of the three tracks, 'You Are My Face' is my favorite and I think it gives a good idea of the sound that this record is going to explore. It has that warm folk/country sound that attracted me to Wilco in the first place mixed with some punchy guitar parts thrown in to keep things interesting." [Music For Kids Who Can't Read Good]- "It's more great countrypolitan rock with searingly emotional lyrics from one of America's best bands." [Prefix]- "I'm a little worried that I might hear these songs in a couple years on the softrock station my dentist plays." [idolator commenter rsn]" kinda annoys me that people do this I know it's dumb to say that its wrong to judge an album that hasn't even come out yet... 3 leaks is all it takes
Sir Stewart
After hearing these three songs, once each, twice for You Are My Face, I can safely say that Sky Blue Sky is the latest Wilco album.
So Long
jeez, that first review's brutal...
WilcoFan
I was kind of thinking that the Jack Diamond radio show demographic is soon going to be Wilco crazy.

Mannequin leg . Seriously funny shit.
Sir Stewart
Yeah, that is a guy who enjoys hatin' stuff.
cash
Honestly I think he TRIED to hate it. I wouldn't know about wolf notes if it weren't for his headless ranting. And I wouldn't mind wilco in the dentists office... But at Dr. Oak's we just watch the news
bobfrombob
Anybody who likes this new stuff is stupidAnybody who doesn't like this new stuff is stupidAnybody who hasn't formed an opinion yet is stupid
danelectro
Too bad he misspelled kabob, bonus for getting mannequin right though.

danelectro
how can you not laugh at that?...that's some funny shit right there. That's the truth, I spit out my coffee right at the David Bowie part. I'm going to have to switch keyboards with a coworker when nobody is looking.
H to the ickle
I love Nels and his music but diarrhetic is a great adjective.
cash
This is the rest of everybody's favorite hater, taken from wolf-notes.com "Indietastic posted a couple of tracks from Wilco
danelectro
I liked the short version better.
a_quiet_domino
I can't wait until the first review compares "Impossible Germany" to a Grateful Dead tune. Jeff as Bob, Nels as Jerry.
cash
I liked the short version better. the 12 minute farty drone solo is the only real addition. That and maybe the coffee table comparison
Kalle
That wolf-notes.com quote was hilarious! "The rock music equivalent of a coffee table book" hahahaha.
lost highway
I don't hear anyone talking about how much this just sounds like really good 70's music. I mean shit doesn't anyone smoke pot anymore? If this is a cofee table book then so is Elliot Smith. Anyone who thinks the organs sound like Fastball, are listening to too much fastball and not enough Highway 61 Revisited. But still I don't totally know whats up with this album, I just like what I hear so far.
danelectro
Pot makes me paranoid and I don't enjoy it.
moxiebean
I didn't know David Bowie only had one leg.
Duck-Billed Catechist
I actually agree with a lot of what that guy said. A lot of the stuff has sounded like the "rock equivalent of a coffee table book" or however it was phrased--both the leaked tracks and the life stuff. I still like the three that have leaked, for the most part. Nothing wrong with a little soft rock.
Sir Stewart
So many threads....Some blog mentioned Paul Simon. Anyone else hear "The Boxer" in "You Are My Face"?
Azzurri
my premature opinion - Your Are My Face is superior to the other two songs...
Sir Stewart
my premature opinion - Your Are My Face is superior to the other two songs...Yeah, and I'll swing on a limb saying that it is also superior to at least 75% of Wilco's catalog.
dark heat
intermittent explosively diarrhetic guitar solos [Wolf Notes] A guy who names his blog after a Fiery Furnaces song has no right to complain about "diarrhetic guitar solos." (I'm a Furnaces fan, though. A huge one in fact)
