thisyearsgirl
It's got a 'Here Comes the Sun' feel to it, thematically. agreed...speaking of the beatles, when i hear "hate it here" i think of abbey road in the guitar breaks.
spongebob
Is it just me, or does that song have a little bit of Bob Dylan sound to it?Maybe I'm crazy its funny you say that sleepingmonkey(about either way)....my wife said the same thing when she heard it. not the words but the music sounds like "the man in me" on dylans "new morning".spongebob
theonlyrodable
I just might agree with the topic starter. This an amazing track. I think it's one of the best songs to start off an album... ever!! It's very uplifting. The more I listen to this album the more I like it.
kamera
I find its awesomeness to be pretty awesome.
jakobnicholas
Either Way is an amazing tune...the sound, the feel, the lyrics. To me, it's so pure. When I hear people criticize the lyrics or Nels guitar solo or the mellow vibe...I get kind of defensive and pissed....so I go listen to it again to calm me down. So Long
The only that annoys me about Either Way and You Are My Face is that they both end and start with a D chord. I dunno if I'm weird but it's just irritating! See, I like that about the first two. Either Way has a capo on the fifth fret, which gives it a much tighter tone than the D in You Are My Face, which he uses a typical invesion on. It's really nice. Chendizzle
The lyrics for this song kill me. Jeff can do better than "Maybe the sun will shine today", maybe x, maybe y, blah blah.
Dude
The lyrics for this song kill me. Jeff can do better than "Maybe the sun will shine today", maybe x, maybe y, blah blah.I agree. There's something Hallmark card-ish about this one. I really do wish I was as excited about these songs as other people on here are.
Wilco Worshipper
A perfect opening track. I'm in love with this song. AGREED!!! I start my drive to work every day with this CD and always start over again at Track Number One And just so you all know, I fast forward to Walken just to listen to the coda before I go into work
awatt
Either Way is a fantastic opener, one of their best after: I Must Be HighMisunderstoodIATTBYH

caliber66
Either Way is a fantastic opener, one of their best after: I Must Be HighMisunderstoodIATTBYHIf it's their fourth best of six, it's really not one of their best, even if it's really good.
