Moonblade
ok, so i live in Arizona & have always wondered what hotel the song refers to? (if any) my best guess is probably Hotel Congress in Tucson, because they seem like the kind of place that might do that. ... plus i'm sure wilco went over very well in tucson. I always picture Hotel Congress when I hear this song too... I used to live in Tucson. Strange this thread just came up, I just listened to Being There on my way to work yesterday and Hotel Arizona jumped out at me as an amazing song that I always overlook. I even replayed it when it was over, there was a time I used to skip it in disgust.

mpolak21
A great song from a flawless rekkid! Along with Misunderstood and Sunken Treasure, probably the most important song on BT from a band-growth standpoint. . I can hear bits of Summerteeth, Foxtrot and Ghost in it, and I love the live versions of this song, in the Bennett /Bach era. Excellent, excellent tune. --Mike
noyes
the way Jeff sings "That's just something that I have to get used to..." is heartbreakingly beautiful. (and the way he holds "to" and Jay's bit on the piano)this is very quickly becoming one of my favorite Wilco songs. i didn't think much of it until two days ago. goddamn.and yes, this would work perfectly live. they need to bring it back. Kalle
Great song, I agree pity they don't play it live anymore. I really think they could do something cool with it.

froggie
> Great song, I agree pity they don't play it live anymore. I really think they could do something cool with it. they should just leave the arrangement as is and bring it back > how about adding 'Too Far Apart' as well? thats on the top of my "i wish they play song XXX from the AM again" list
bourbonbreath
following the first 6 songs of the show... how great would a 'Too Far Apart', 'Hotel Arizona', 'Pot Kettle Black' trio be? 3 songs that need to be in the set list on every show this tour!
