So Long
Although I find her particularly annoying, she's getting a lot of attention nowadays. My girlfriend's a fan, but I'm pretty sure it's just because of the british accent.
bobbob1313
I love "Smile". Haven't heard anything else, and I doubt there's anything else that good on her cd, but thats a damn fine single. Should've been released in the summer. That's a summer song.
MrRain422
It was released in the summer. I really don't want to, but I like both of her songs I've heard. I can't help it.
Duck-Billed Catechist
What? This is a thread? I think her singles are pretty good. I haven't gotten into the rest of the album.

LouieB
I think her single is good too, but she just canceled her tour saying she is tired and not giving her best performances.... What does that tell you?? LouieB
OOO
i saw her a couple of days ago at the KCRW benefit. her singles are good but the other songs were kind of boring to sit through.
Duck-Billed Catechist
I'm not sure what it tells me. She's tired and not giving her best performance? Or maybe her ticket sales aren't as high as expected?
Beltmann
Not long ago I read that she prefaced a recent performance of "Smile" by confessing she has grown tired of the song. Perhaps she's been tossed into the limelight without being prepared for the rigors of touring, interviews, etc.?
MrRain422
She's been on tour for a year. Probably been partying pretty hard, considering her age and how quickly her fame rose. Exhaustion seems pretty reasonable.
OOO
she was wearing a maternity dress and looked preggers. EDIT: No but seriously , I have been on tour with this album for a year now , I have fulfilled every commitment up to this point . I am tired , but more than that I don't think I have been giving my best performances recently . I have been getting really drunk because i've been so nervous about doing bad shows , and I don't want people spending money on a going to see a show that isnt the best it could be . I am not falling apart at the seems , I am not suffering with exhaustion , I am not pregnant , and I am not going to rehab . I will be here in America , promoting the album and also starting to write the second album , which I am beyond excited about . The LA and New York shows will still be happening , and I am still playing Coachella and Bonaroo and all the other festivals . she's lying about the pregnant thing
SarahC
i like the "little brother" song on the album, it's funny. my sister played the record a lot when she first got it, but now i don't hear much of it...

I am with you on this, I don't think she was perpared for the sudden fame. Many musicians travel and perform for years trying to get where she is now at a very young age. As we know from following some of our favorite groups, travel and nearly identical performances day in and day out is what is required. Hell after 35 years of working I sure would like to take a bunch of time off because I am sick of working too. LouieB

LouieB Her father is famous in the UK, so she would have had a reasonable idea of what fame would be like prior to all this. My view on her is that she is pretty much complete rubbish. But, I actually like the fact that she is bored of the songs and wants to make a new album rather than continue performing music she is tired of, maybe the next one I'll like. solace
there's 3-4 great singles/tracks on the album, but on the whole it's not a great record at all. and yeah, it WAS released in the summer, last summer actually surprised they waited so long to push it here in the US though. nepatriots
Sure, hype over substance boy you have a way with words... Right to the point my friend, instead of tip toeing around the fact.

solace
Sure, hype over substanceRight to the point my friend, instead of tip toeing around the fact.it's only hype if you buy into it... first heard Smile when the demos were going around like 2 years ago and liked it. sure i was disappointed w/ the record on the whole, but to say she has no talent is just not true, no matter if you like her or not. not tiptoeing around anything, if she sucked i'd be the first to say so. but i'll definitely say that Amy Winehouse is a much much better talent, Lily's just way way cuter
nepatriots
Agree 100% on the Lily and Amy comparison
