Dude
I get the feeling this is a rhetorical question. Translated into 64 languages? Over 300 million copies sold? In Florida? It'll be a huge success. It'll probably be a huge success for awhile, too. An amusement park could be successful with a Huggy Bear theme and no one would care, as long as it has the cool rides, gimmicks, geegaws, and whatnot. It just seems like overkill. I mean, what are they going to do next? Devote an entire theme park to Dolly Parton???
gogo
In Florida? This is the part that gets me. If I'm going to go to a Harry Potter theme park (and yeah, if they build it, I'll probably go eventually), I'd really like it to be in a place where the weather allows for some approximation of the setting of the books. Mrs. Peel
I have been wishing I could go to Diagon Alley for years, so I'll be happy to just do that! We were amazed by the theming in the newer Islands Of Adventure at Universal, and I can tell they're going to do a bang up job with this. I'm excited. Although I think it would be enough to add a section to the existing park, not necessarily a whole park devoted to it.

gogo
I have been wishing I could go to Diagon Alley for years, so I'll be happy to just do that! When we went to London, Andrew Dowdall took me and Trish to lunch in the place where they filmed Diagon Alley. Even without all the set dressing, it was pretty cool. edit: On second thought, I think that's actually the spot where they enter the Leaky Cauldron to get to Diagon Alley. For a closer match to that, maybe the Shambles in York?
Mrs. Peel
Andrew better take me there someday! Where is that? It looks amazing!
gogo
Leadenhall Market! When we were there, it was packed with businessmen standing around bar tables and drinking their lunch. I highly recommend Andrew's tour of The City.

bobbob1313
I think it'd be better to add it onto Islands of Adventure or something. I could see this getting old really quickly as a standalone.
isadorah
oh yes, the world really does need a Harry Potter theme park, and when it opens, i am SO going!

viatroy
I aged out of thinking theme parks (and things of that ilk -- yes carnivals, sorry Lammy) were fun when I was about 15 -- I think it was that last puke on the Rotor. But for those of you lining up for your Harry Potter tickets, you won't want to miss these gems: "Nobody will be harmed and everybody will be returned, hopefully, in the same shape" and Jesus Christ! It's a theme park!
