DAngerer09
I'm going and I think if you buy tickets during the public sale on the 31st you will be fine and get good seats.
bedbug
This wasn't on a college campus, but in Cincinnati, tickets went up for grabs a day early for members of something. Cincinnati Arts Something or other. I bought tickets the next day, first day of the Wilco presale, and although they weren't nose-hair close, they were still fair. Gobias Industries
Man thank God I decided to visit here today or I wouldn't have gotten this news... Good thing I'm going to OSU
DAngerer09
Good thing I'm going to OSU Enjoy standing a foot away from the band. I hope there are some up close tickets left by the time the public sale comes around.

I hope there are some up close tickets left by the time the public sale comes around.Mershon is a big auditorium and it is wide. There's really not a bad seat in the house sound-wise. View, obviously, the closer the better, but you'll be fine on the public sale....
DAngerer09
Yeah, but I guess once you have been front row to see Wilco, it just hurts when you have to move back.
quarter23cd
Pre-sale tickets on sale August 28th and29th for OSU students and Wexner center members, August 30th for general public.Dammit, I knew I never should have graduated!!! I think its interesting that Wilco keeps playing the Wex when they're in town, as opposed to some of the other venues. I guess they must like it. As for this:i have a feeling most OSU students arent big on wilcoI can verify that during the mid-90s, I took a poll and I was the only person on campus who had heard of them. DAngerer09
OSU seems more like a Dave Matthews type crowd.
quarter23cd
Meh. No moreso than your average randomly-selected group of college students. You pack enough people onto a campus, you're bound to find your share of Wilco fans. That said, I knew a lot of Dave Matthews fans when I was in school there, so you may have a point. Gobias Industries
Ohio is pretty big on the whole Dave Matthews thing...I think the fact that DMB came to Columbus for like 4 years straight attests to their fanbase here... I'm probably going to get my tickets tomorrow, no point in not getting that front row seats...
wheelco
OSU seems more like a Dave Matthews type crowd.and there's no beer at this venue, folkies
DAngerer09
Good. Sober fans are the best.

I'll take my chances that the bulk of the OSU student body will say "Wilco who?" and there will still be plenty of tickets left on Friday.
cryptique
If Wilco were playing in the evening after a Wolverines-Buckeyes football game, there might actually be enough cultured, intelligent people in town to fill a large venue. Otherwise, you'll probably have the place more or less to yourself.

Gobias Industries
It damn well turns out that the presale is tomorrow, not today. Thanks, Wexner. I even went there to buy them today.

Maybe I'm wrong about the place. Edit: Oh, I get it - the Ohio/Michigan rivalry thing.
foolnrain97
I've been noticing lately that shows around here aren't really selling out. When they do, it's usually within a week or so of the event, not right when tickets go on sale.
