put down the microwave popcorn

hey now, who's calling who old??? although when i wore my poison shirt to a hairband concert last year, i realized the shirt was older than the girl next to me. *sigh* i think i'll go microwave some popcorn, what's there left to live for...

For those who like the convenience of microwaving popcorn, bulk kernels in a paper bag work just as well as the prepackaged stuff. I just save the bags that they put wine in, or the lunch size bags if you're making a lot, pour about 1/8 to 1/4 of a coffee cup of kernels in, then reuse the cup to melt some butter. Just as easy, no added chemicals and it's a lot cheaper.

I only eat microwave popcorn when I am watching the world series.

Here I was thinking Blackie Lawless and WASP when I read that....

 

So much of my youth went away when I sold my record collection....

I am slowly re-building, so I have that goin' for me... which is nice.

My 9 year old thinks Alton Brown is the man. He's going to set the DVR on his computer to record Good Eats so he can watch it whenever he wants. When he was 5 he liked Emeril and even got one of his cookbooks autographed. Maybe he'll grow up to be a chef or something.
