jenbobblehead
At least you're getting the game. I've got the coveted LAD/AZ game running. I curse you to Hell, FOX. I think if you've got the MLB EI package you should be exempt from the blackouts. That's what I think.i'm with you. You want to call up and i'll put the phone by the tv?Am I surprised Dane Cook is a Red Sox fan? No. I kid.he's a fake fan. please he called it "Fenway Nation." and he's wearing a fucking track jacket and a really new looking hat. What an idiot.

You guys need real fans, like Tom Brady. That's a real fan. Again, I kid. I'm sure when Brady's in Boston he sports a Sox cap.
Lammycat
Brady grew up in California so it actually makes perfect sense to root for the Yankees. It isn't the first time Brady has been seen sporting NYY attire around Boston, either. Thanks for the phone offer, lysis, but the espn Game Cast deal gives me a better visual. They all look the same, though.
jenbobblehead
posada is one of the toughest baseball players out there and fox keeps trying to attribute him actually losing consciousness on that big hit by hinske. i saw the play, like 15 times (man that felt good, i have to admit) and posada didn't even miss a beat! boywiththorninside
That should about do it for the AL East. Congrats to the Sox and their fans. Hopefully, the Yanks can hang on for the WC and we can see an epic Yanks-Sox ALCS. Congrats also on the Cy Young for Beckett. Since he's been with Boston the Yankees usually hit him pretty well, but when he's on...yikes.

Spawn's dad
i like how you yankees people come out of the woodwork after a win like this one, but you're pretty well invisible the entire season. Yeah, i'm looking at you skyflynn. What's up with that? mostly because the inane season long bashing of the yankees and a-rod got old a long time ago.

jenbobblehead
I'm willing to bet that the red sox were bashed just as much as the yankees in this season's threads.

Lammycat
Just got back from the COL/FLA game and witnessed an utter thrashing by the Marlins. They can really move on the bases. Nice night weather-wise, though.

Lammycat
Man, if we can get even league average pitching next season, watch out. Our hitters can mash with the best of them. The Marlins do have a very strong offense. I was really impressed with their base running/speed, too though. Hanley had 3 SBs but it was just a piece of their presence on the bases.

bjorn_skurj
Dare I say it? Is it not the manager's responsibility to keep his team focused? Should Randolph walk the plank if the Mets cough up the division? I say, yes.
cryptique
The Cubs have tied it in the bottom of the ninth, and had a runner on third with nobody out. In that situation, why would you intentionally walk one guy, but not two? That move's got me confused. edit: DeRosa wins it.

Should Randolph walk the plank if the Mets cough up the division? I say, yes. at this rate they're not even going to make the playoffs. willie has to be out of a job. joe girardi will be managing one of two NY teams next year.
bobbob1313
But Willie Randolph is an amazing manager!

ction
Eric Gagne is a _ _ _ (space) _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (space) _ _ _ _ , and I'd like him off "my" goddamn baseball team.
boywiththorninside
It is such a cliche', but the baseball season is truly a marathon. It is amazing how things can change over time. Nonetheless, I still think the Mets and Red Sox are going to hold on. EDIT: I just heard that idiot Steve Phillips predict the same thing - the Red Sox and Mets would hold on. That's like the kiss of death. The Yankees and Phillies might just have a chance.
Oil Can Boyd
Eric Gagne is a _ _ _ (space) _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (space) _ _ _ _ , and I'd like him off "my" goddamn baseball team.Yup. It's pretty stunning what a disaster he has been. I don't think anyone expected the Gagne of old, but he had an ERA of just over 2.00 (and 16 saves) when they got him and his ERA while on the Sox is 9.00.
