Here's hoping for "Thundercrack," to be a long-term fixture of the tour and not a nostalgic oldie for the Asbury shows.

Anyone get Boston tickets? I struck out, but may try to scalp soon. Do you think GA tix will be cheaper day of?

Last time I saw Bruce (at MSG in NYC) I waited until the show started and then bought a ticket from someone at less than face value.

Since that day, thats how I get most of my concert tickets, based on this logic: At sold out shows, there are more than a few people that gobbled up tickets, thinking they could get their friends to come, or sell them outside. So when the show starts, the people with the tickets (scalpers as well) are fucked and they start to panic. They either have to sell the tickets for whatever they can get, or eat the tickets. This has been a very sucessful strategy in seeing Springsteen, Dylan/Willie, Wilco (in Red Bank) and especially the Wilco/Lips show on NYE at the Garden. I paid $15 per ticket, sat about 20 rows back and only missed half of the Sleater-Kinney set. Its a bit of a gamble, but its been good for me so far.

BTW, I would love to tell my "Meeting Bruce" story, but its a little embarrassing and it may seem a bit pompus.

you also have to hope the tix you buy isn't counterfit.

Very easy. Take a lit cigarette and place the cherry against the backside of the ticket. If the ticket is real. a black spot will appear on the front side of the ticket. Scalpers will get pissed when you do this, so if they start to protest, then you know the ticket is a fake.

I do this too sometimes but it doesn't work for places where you have to pay parking. It would suck to pay parking then get no tickets. Bigger shows though are real easy, Police etc...

In Love With Pop, Uneasy With the World

By A. O. SCOTT

Published: September 30, 2007

IT was the last day of summer, but on the boardwalk here it seemed more like a perfect morning in early July: the Atlantic Ocean sparkled under a cloudless sky; the humid air was soothed by a soft, salty breeze. I looked down the empty beach, past the souvenir shops and snack bars with their fresh paint and new green awnings, toward the proud Victorian hulk of the old Casino, and felt that I had walked into a Bruce Springsteen song. (Oh, I don

Yea, I had borrowed Tracks from a friend a few years ago and really liked the first two discs, not so much the last two. For some reason, I only burned a copy of the second disc. I'd appriciate it your help--yet again-- Tongue-Tied!
