OOO
These are great, sarah! This is really your first time playing bass ever? That makes it even more fantastic. Are you planning on gigging around town anytime soon? P.S. I love the space that it was filmed in, too. Looks like a great practicing environment.

Looks like a great practicing environment.it was my first time playing bass on anything live. i have played bass once before on a track i overdubbed in my room... if we can get booked we are going to play somewhere i hope... yeah, the space is cool. it's a shed behind george (guitar player) and patrick's(drummer) house. there are 2 couches and 2 arm chairs. good for break time. yermom
That's awesome that you're doing the band thing now like you were hoping to. Are the fellas going to let you sing some too (if you're interested)? I think it'd be a cool contrast to do your chick vocals (like your Rhett Miller video) over the rockier music. M. (hristine
This is so cool, Sarah. And you're dating the drummer? You know the old joke right? Anyway, just a small bit of advice, (when you get more comfortable on the bass): Baby, shake that thing, like I know you can! You make stuff happen. That is a tremendous strength you have. Good luck, sugar.
dixiecupdrinker
SarahC- You guys aren't named after Herbie Hancock's surprise 1983 break-dancing hit, "Rockit, are you? dcd

Sticky
Dear Sarah, If you learned nothing from the old videos of Jeff playing bass, I'm sure he'd tell you: 1. Wear a dress.2. In the absence of a dress (oops) wear shorts and Chuck Taylor high tops.3. Never date the drummer. (Maybe he wouldn't say that, but it's still good advice.)4. Where are the jumps???? As an old bass player myself, I'd say you're doing great, but where are the jumps? Kinda catchy. chris
Kalle
Hey good job Sara! Glad to hear that you are jamming! On another note of shameless self promotion (sorry for semi-hijacking Sara!) I will be playing my first solo show tomorrow night opening for this band http://www.myspace.com/betterfriendsthanlovers at our local record store. Oh and here's my myspace www.myspace.com/kallemattson Thanks!
