Pittsburgh Show - 10/19/07

awesome. I love it when dopes don't fact check.

No kidding. I like this one, too:

John Stirrat, bassist for the group, is clearly one of the best back-up vocalists in the rock genre, providing harmonies and energy that show that he could take over vocals for one song, and no one would protest. He appeared to be having the most fun of any member of the band, bouncing with each song as if he had been playing it for years, which is sometimes the case.

As if? So John Stirratt is a newcomer to Wilco then?

Swampy's copy of the show is on eTree. I don't know how it got to dime, but I wouldn't go for that one, I know Swampy's original torrent is unmolested and has a ton of peers. His blows mine away, so we'll just leave his out there.

Nice sig Analogman. A dope trailer's no place for a kitty.

And please, I hate to sound like a dick, but it's a concert recording, not the b word.

That day was probably one of the best days of my life. Wilco came to my campus, it was amazing. I ended up camping out 4 hours before the show in front of the Wilco van (anyone see me?), and I got to hang out a bit with all of the guys. They were all the coolest guys, really down to earth and didn't mind talking to fans at all. I was star struck to say the least...I'm going to shut up before I gush any more.

Best Jeffism of the night:

"Why are you guys sitting down, did you have a hard day? Oh wait...you're pregnant."

COOL! That was me! I couldn't believe that Jeff Tweedy was talking to me, and all I could come up with was to blurt out "I'm pregnant." Of course, I came up with 100 more clever things to say afterwards.

I got him to sign a poster after the show to put in the nursery - I'm going to have an excellent story to tell to her one day.

What an amazing show - it made the drive from Philadelphia TOTALLY worth it!

Downloaded this show, and listening to it now... I think this is one of my favorite Impossible Germany solos. Out of all the ones I've heard, at least.

Listening now as well. Love the cars can't escape and the transition into Spiders. Had a great time me and 3 friends were on a roadtrip from Canada. Went to see wilco then cleveland for the rock and roll hall of fame the next day.
