poppydawn
A word of caution: never exchange bodily fluids with someone who recent ate vindaloo. Learned that one the hard way.

Sir Stewart
Winterlude, Winterlude, oh darlin',Winterlude by the road tonight.Tonight there will be no quarrelin',Ev'rything is gonna be all right.Oh, I see by the angel beside meThat love has a reason to shine. You're the one I adore, come over here and give me more,Then Winterlude, this dude thinks you're fine. Winterlude, Winterlude, my little apple,Winterlude by the corn in the field,Winterlude, let's go down to the chapel,Then come back and cook up a meal.Well, come out when the skating rink glistensBy the sun, near the old crossroads sign. The snow is so cold, but our love can be bold,Winterlude, don't be rude, please be mine. Winterlude, Winterlude, my little daisy,Winterlude by the telephone wire,Winterlude, it's makin' me lazy,Come on, sit by the logs in the fire. The moonlight reflects from the windowWhere the snowflakes, they cover the sand.Come out tonight, ev'rything will be tight,Winterlude, this dude thinks you're grand. cryptique
This stuff sounds good. I like spicy stuff. A good vindaloo will kick your ass, and you'll love every minute of it. Lamb vindaloo is my favorite.
PigSooie
I'm guessing there are no good vindaloo joints in Memphis.
cryptique
I'm guessing there are no good vindaloo joints in Memphis.Read up on what's the best Indian place in town, then go there. Vindaloo is a pretty standard menu item. Not absolutely guaranteed to be on the menu, but chances are good. Just from some quick Googling, I found Bombay House, which has both chicken and lamb vindaloo, Mayuri, which also has both, and India Palace (both). I'm sure there are plenty more in the area. PigSooie
Hey, this is important stuff. I'd hate to see you deprived of vindaloo needlessly. Now, I just have to find one of my picky eating friends to go with me.
poppydawn
It's been a few years, but I've been to India Palace in Memphis. It was yummy, yummy, yummy! I didn't have the vindaloo, though. We went for the Sunday lunch hangover hog trough buffet. Unless something drastic has happened with the ownership or management, I'd definitely return.
M. (hristine
Because of this thread I have been on a vindaloo and tikka masala bender. Pita fried in ghee works in a pinch for poori, but last night I googled recipes. Poori might just end up being my winter bread perfection.
embiggen
I really wanted chicken vindaloo today. but they only had lamb vindaloo. I got the chicken masala.
