mayfly
I will be flying into town from Atlanta the morning of the 15th for the shows and was wondering if there was anyone else coming in alone. It might be fun to have some people to do the tourist thing with, or even to have people to have dinner with before the shows each night. Anyone?

LouieB
Don't worry, there will be plenty of singles at the show. Just show up and have fun. Everyone will be friendly here in Chicago. LouieB

LouieB I love Chicago- I was born there but haven't lived there since I was a baby. In my visits, I've never really met anyone I would consider a jerk. I am staying with some family over on West Norwood, a couple miles from the Riviera. I felt so bad when the guy who is kind enough to let me crash at his place, said that he might try and go to one of the shows with me one night. Oh, he has no idea... VenusStopsTrain2
OOO good call! I would so be up for that!! And Louie...I'm sorry but when you say that the first thing that springs to mind is that you are trying to hook up all us VC singles. Just think we could have a massive VC wedding...and Jeff could play. oh it would rock!

barnyard pimp
I'm coming in alone from British Columbia for all 5 shows, staying at the "Rock and Roll" Days Inn and pretty much the only thing I've pencilled in for non-Wilco activity is going to see the polar bear at the zoo, wahoo! It would be very nice to meet some good people to make the non-Wilco hours a little less dull.. I'm also hoping to find a guitar shop to rent a hotel guitar for the week, exercise some creativity while going thru internet withdrawals...
PigSooie
One of these? "not bad"

evil horn
I'm coming in solo for the friday and saturday night shows. so excited. I'm hoping to do some touristy stuff. can one eat an entire deep dish pizza by themselves? I probably could use some help there. so looking for and welcome any recommendations, invitations, meet-ups, somebody to shiver with in line, etc. commuting from the rock'n'roll days inn. Dr. Steve Brule
I'm not an orphan but if anyone is up for a Friday lunch meeting I would recommend Hot Dougs! Click on "today's specials". Friday is also one of the days duck fat fries are available. I hear the veggie dog is good if you lean that way. 2pm would be a good time, after the lunch time worker rush. If anyone is interested PM me for info. I'm also trying to come up with something fun for Sunday, at least a bar with good stuff on the jukebox. I'll keep ya'll posted.
