Residency Orphans?

Recommended Posts

I'm driving down solo from SE Wisconsin each day and would really like to at least have someone to stand in line with! There's nothing more boring to me than standing in a concert line alone. I'll be the short blonde girl in a brown coat reading a book. Or PM and we'll figure out something ahead of time!

What time are people planning on starting to stand in line? (I am not looking forward to the cold!)

I apologize if I steer this into not Wilco related teritory...

For the Sunday night off a group of us will be meeting up in the Bucktown area. Dinner somewhere affordable (perhaps Chipotle, where they play Wilco sometimes) and afterwards at this bar. They have Rock Band and/or Guitar Hero! Anyone is welcome to join! PM me if you'd like more details or to exchange contact info.

I'm 570 miles closer to Chicago than I was this morning. I'll be driving up the rest of the way on Friday morning. I'll be there for all 5 and will be alone at the Allerton Hotel on Michigan Ave. I'll see you'll in line and I'm up for whatever on Sunday. Cheers, Greg

New to the board, but I'm driving in from Ann Arbor on Friday with my girlfriend. Can't wait! We're only doing Friday and Saturday night but would love to meet up with folks.

Welcome to the board. :thumbup

Great screen name by the way. "India's answer to Brian Dennehy".

For those still in town. Don't miss the Green mill, right next to the Rov. For the runks in the crowd, a latenight visit to Weiner Circle is necessary for proper abuse and cheese fried. It is on Clark. And then there's Smoque, a great BBQ place that frequently sells out. It's just that good. it is on Irving...

Alright, last post about this...

Looking at 7pm at Whiskey Road. 1935 N Damen Ave. It should be an easy walk from the Damen Blue Line El stop. Of course the Damen bus will take you right there, and the Milwaukee and North Avenue buses to the 6 way intersection will get you close. They have burgers and crabcakes and I'm not sure what else.

Sounds like a pretty good group is going to show up, so if you're looking for some quality bonding time with VCers old and new this should be it. I'm sure you'll recognize someone so just come and say hi!

See you there!

I am too sick to go. I am resting up for the homestretch of M-W nights. I'll be goddamned to miss any.

However, will see as many folks as possible in the line. I'll be the one with the scarves around my head :lol

I'm glad some folks came out tonight, it was a lot of fun. :cheers

Indeed! I think I may have figured out the mystery beer! I got back to my friend's place and cracked open a RJ King Wingwalker Lager. It's a Pilsner and has a similar taste. The difference may be because mine here is from a bottle......It's brewed in Wisconsin and everything!

This whole week is like the party that never ends. Last night marked the third consecutive night that I've hung out with VCers. Two nights at the Fat Cat, closing it down both nights. The second night we had some hard core singalongs going on and took over a whole wall of the bar. I think the rest of the typical patrons were both amused and frightened by us. Rob is the life of the party! Last night was filled with great conversation, new friends, sickeningly huge burgers and my first futile attempt at Guitar Hero. Thanks for the ride back downtown Leo. You'll are very, very nice people. Here's to another 15 hour day.
