tft3323
If this entry should be somewhere else, I apologize... From some of the pictures posted from the first two residency shows, I am seeing some guitars I have not seen before. Specifically a dark red or maybe dark brown Tele with a darker wood neck that Jeff is playing. And also, it looks like he broke out an antique Martin 000 or OM. It is a sunburst finish and might be the same guitar he was holding on the cover of Acoustic Guitar Player in an issue last summer (May or June '07.) Any of you other gear fanatics at these shows or seen the pictures and can make a positive ID? Maybe the fact that they are close to home and playing rarities has allowed Tweedy to pull some rarely seen treasures from his mind blowing collection...?
oceanman
When your close to home, you can bring any guitar with you. That Tele is the most perty thang I've ever seen!
Groo
The "dark brown" Tele is a Fender Custom Shop 68 (?) Reissue Rosewood Telecaster.
tft3323
Thanks for the info. That guitar is great looking. Any one know the age/origin of the Martin?
rags
If it's the one I'm thinking of, I believe it is a pre-war 00-18.
jff
The "dark brown" Tele is a Fender Custom Shop 68 (?) Reissue Rosewood Telecaster. Not having seen the photos, I was going to ask if that's what it was. Here's another photo of one:

tft3323
If it's the one I'm thinking of, I believe it is a pre-war 00-18. That's probably right. There are several pictures of Jeff playing it the last few nights in the photos posted on Flickr. Looks very sweet and very vintage.
rags
Is it the same one he plays during the Sunken Treasure DVD? During Satan Your Kingdom Must Come Down and Family Gardener? I could only dream of owning a guitar like that.
Groo
Not having seen the photos, I was going to ask if that's what it was. Here's another photo of one: Buy one here: http://www.elderly.com/fmic/items/FCSLRT.htm
