bböp
Reporting for duty... They do it late down here in the Big Easy. Show didn't end until past 1 a.m. Much beer was consumed, and Jeff commented on the apparently large quantity of weed being smoked. Tip's, of course, is tiny and great. The Total Pros actually had to play from the balcony because the stage was too small to fit everyone. They set up in the balcony, stage left, which made for kind of a weird arrangement. Watching John's family and friends in the balcony during "It's Just That Simple" was very cute. DVD filming was in full effect. Celebrity sighting: John C. Reilly. bobbob1313
Man, if it weren't for the residency shows, people would be freaking out about these setlists. I really hope they come down here soon and brind the Total Pros.

Dude
Man, if it weren't for the residency shows, people would be freaking out about these setlists. Certainly makes the individual shows more exciting - you never know what they may pull out of their hat.

Hodie
(Was I) In Your Dreams (w/Total Pros horns)Oh, what a perfect opener. The very first time I heard this song, back when I knew next-to-nothing about Wilco, my immediate reaction was "how very New Orleans..."

Sweet Delightful
What was that song that John sung last night? I think it was something off of AM, but im not sure.
cryptique
If John sang it, it must have been "It's Just That Simple." They've been doing that one a lot over the past several months.

bibliophile
Hey, I didn't see John C. Reilly! Where was he? Phenomenal show...practically life affirming. Too bad I have to work tonight, or I would have ventured back for the second one.
Sweet Delightful
Hey, I didn't see John C. Reilly! Where was he? He was up in the balcony right behind Mr. Stirratt.
Gobias Industries
Man, are the Total Pros just following them everywhere? I wish they would continue to do this and come to Columbus again...I want more Blood of the Lamb!

I wish they would continue to do this and come to Columbus again...I want more Blood of the Lamb! Nope, we're done after this second Tipitina's show. But there have been vague hints of more Total Pros in the future..... Max P.S. I agree about Blood of the Lamb, Paul kicks serious clarinet ass on that one.

I'm the only TP that plays with Poi dog, (although Nick plays with us sometimes), Poi will return to being my main gig after tonight's over.

By vague hints, I hope your referring to the next album. I believe you told me you did the original playing on "Pieholden Suite" on Summerteeth right? One way or another you guys have really stretched the bands horizon and opened up endless setlist possibilities. Hopefully I'll see you somewhere down the road, Greg

I believe it is a CD release show for their new album.
